Welcome to The Downtown Flat on Margaret! This cozy 1-bed, 1-bath apartment is small but mighty. Situated in the heart of downtown, you’ll be just a walk away from everything you need. Centrally located to the VIA Rail train station, LRT, the Aud, Centre in the Square, and the many shops and restaurants of Kitchener. Fully equipped kitchen, modern design, smart TV, in-suite laundry, a workspace, and air conditioning. A perfect home away from home for both short and long term stays. The space Pull into the private parking lot and enter the Suite through the private porch and entry way. Inside, you'll find a cozy living room with a smart TV, overlooking the huge tall windows and original stained glass, characteristic of century homes like this one. You can enjoy your morning coffee (provided for you to use with the Keurig machine), while settled into the two person dining nook. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen, and a thoughtfully designed bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. The bathroom boasts a modern vanity, new toilet, & shower with complimentary toiletries. If you have a car, we have free and secure parking overlooked by a security system. If you don't, we're centrally located in the bustling downtown of Kitchener, where you can walk to tons of entertainment, businesses, coffee shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop right outside the house, the LRT down the road, and the VIA Rail/GO station within 500m. The Flat on Margaret is in a renovated 1906 century home. Located on the main floor (not basement!) of a triplex in a busy downtown area. Because there are other guests and tenants in the building, please ensure to respect both their privacy and their enjoyment of their space, and abide by noise bylaws between the hours of 11pm and 7am. All units have been insulated and dry walled not once, but twice, in order to ensure the maximum level of peacefulness, privacy, and noise reduction between everyone staying in the building. Please be aware that despite this, some noise will travel between units and from the street outside. The Flat is located on a busy street - with the windows open, you will hear the noises of cars driving past during busier daytime hours. It is usually fairly quiet at night. The home is on a corner, with our parking in back, meaning the only neighbours are to the right. Other things to note Basic cleaning supplies, laundry soap, toilet paper and other consumables are provided. If you’re staying long term, we provide enough for the first few days, and then ask that you stock up after that! If you are staying for one month or more, we will happily provide basic complimentary cleaning once a month. We will book this with you in advance. Clean bedding and linens are provided when you check in. After that, washing bedding & linens will be your own responsibility in the on-site laundry, at your own convenience. Please note we charge for excessively stained linens. We are always available if you have any concerns.
