Come experience peace, tranquility and all the outdoors has to offer! The space Usra Major, Sugarloaf- a charming, unique and tranquil two story cabin. Located in upper Sugarloaf, on a corner lot, Ursa Major begins enchanting you before you walk in the front door. If you look, etched into the exterior stucco are nature scenes and wildlife - original to when the cabin was built in the 1950s. Enter the front door into the spacious living room featuring a rustic, oversized, local stone fireplace and new sleeper sofa and loveseat - perfect for cozying up on cold winter nights or just chilling out to watch TV after a day of outdoor fun. One complementary wood bundle provided so you can enjoy a fire your very first night. Be drawn outside through the large glass slider to the impressively large backyard with plenty of space to park your jet skis, boat or RV/travel trailer securely. Enjoy quiet mornings sipping coffee as the sun rises or grilling up dinner on the Traeger Grill and eating alfresco on the back deck. Too cold to eat outside? Ursa Major also has a large kitchen/dining room complete with six-person dining table, oven, gas stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and all the essentials needed to make a delicious meal. Upstairs you'll be welcomed by two bedrooms. The larger of the two offers a queen size bed featuring the comfort of a Nectar mattress topped with premium sheets. The smaller bedroom offers a twin trundle bed. The top bed features a new Nectar mattress and the lower bed a new Serta Cooling Gel Memory Foam mattress. And if you're a bigger group you can sleep two on our sleeper bed sofa in the living room! My family and I personally lived in the cabin for two years. Originally purchased as a vacation cabin, it drew us up to the mountain, convincing us to never want to leave. It has been a very comfortable, peaceful cabin for us. You will feel the same when you first lay down in bed and hear nothing but the birds and wind in the trees. Strip away all that noise from the city and come find your peace. Guest access Guests have access to entire property except locked TuffShed used for supplies. Access to property is through touchpad. The property can accommodate a total of two cars in the front (on property parking) and upon request we can accommodate trailers, RVs and boats in the backyard of the property. Guests also have acces to laundry room upon request. Other things to note Laundry is available upon request. Pets need to be housebroken. No cats. 2 pets maximum, if you have more than 2 pets please request that you want to bring extra pets, additional fee will apply. We ask that pets do not sleep on the beds, additional fees may apply if evidence of a pet on the bed is found, this is due to extra cleaning and stain removal that may occur. Stairs to bedrooms are a bit steep and not recommended for people with mobility issues or very young children. Please note, this is a mountain town and weather is not a reason we can accept cancellation or rescheduling requests. Guest will be responsible to maintain property, including shoveling snow from important areas, during inclement weather Please come prepared. Must be 25+ to book There is NO Dishwasher at the house. Dishes are handwashing's only, please consider if it’s important to you. Electric vehicles: At this time we do not offer electric charging for your vehicle. The property has no accessible outlets at the front of the property and we ask that you do not run extension cords etc. There are plenty of charging options in the village. The three main roads to Big Bear Lake are Hwy 330 (through Highland), Hwy 38 (through Redlands) and Hwy 18 (through Lucerne Valley). If you're flying commercial into California, the most common airports are LAX (Los Angeles), Ontario International (Inland Empire), and John Wayne Airport in Newport Beach (Orange County).
