The sister property of Strawberry Haus, Riverside Retreat, has four bedrooms and two Murphy beds, servicing 14 for a great family getaway. The spacious interior offers comfort and amenities for endless entertainment! The back yard offers direct access to the covered deck, pontoon, hot tub and beach equipped with water toys. The game room includes a multitude of entertainment. Area outdoor adventures include multiple professional golf courses, great fishing,water sports. Riverside Retreat has two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. One bedroom downstairs has 3 single twin beds and one additional rollaway is located in the storage room off the hallway. It can be rolled out into the lounge area for sleeping and can be returned to the storage room in the morning. Additionally, we have two queen size Murphy bed cabinets that contain super comfortable foldaway mattresses that store right in the cabinet. These mattresses are identical to our teardrop camper mattress and we love sleeping on them! With 3.5 baths, no one will need to wait for use of the facilities during your stay with us! The lower level bathroom offers a double vanity, full size shower, and illuminated wall/makeup mirrors to prepare for your adventures, or to refresh after a long day on the water or golf course. The game room is equipped with a bar-height card table with an extra leaf to seat six, 9’ shuffleboard table, old-school arcade game (Ms Pan Man anyone?), Putter-ball, fuseball, light up air hockey, and a huge selection of board and card games! Rainy days won’t get you down at Riverside! If sports are more your thing, sit back and enjoy your favorite sporting events on the Samsung smart tv, all from the comfort of your electric reclining swivel rocker! Enjoy the retro decor, complete with hints of Star Wars themes across the room! Can you spot them all? The stone path fire pit boasts a majestic location on the high ground above the terraced riverside landscaping, capturing the most gorgeous views of the river and its stunning sunsets! Several Adirondack chairs circle the in-ground fire ring, creating a welcoming space to relax around the warmth of the flame and congregate while engaging in one of our selections of outdoor games. Under the covered porch you will find our four-person spa, protected by a covered ceiling. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets in the private confines of our lower level lanai. Winter snow showers are delightful to watch as the peaceful snow drifts outside the protection from the upper deck. Or perhaps you’ll choose to venture out to the secondary deck that borders the riverfront. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a mimosa as you enjoy the morning ritual of watching the many fish jump from the water each morning as they catch the low flying river bait! The riverfront hosts great beach time, swimming, and dockside fishing! Swimming (lifejackets provided and strongly encouraged) is recommended at the far right of the beach identified by a recessed area on the sea wall. Kayaks, full lounge access, umbrellas and water toys are also available at the beach. Guests can bring their personal flat bottom fishing boats, jet skis, or pontoons to tie onto the sea wall (launch at Rogers Heights). Contact us if you are interested in renting our personal pontoon for fishing or water sports! Boaters can explore the lake-like experience of tubing, jet skiing, fishing or just floating on Rogers Pond (formed by the nearby Rogers Dam). You may also choose to kayak up and down the river, or venture over to the shallows directly across Riverside Retreat to fly fish. You can also tie off to the sand bar 100 yards up river for a popular sandy shallow location perfect for beach games. We have a set of binoculars inside to check out abundance of wildlife at the shallow wetlands. Keep your eyes open for the regular bald eagle sightings in the back yard! Check in for updates as the beachfront takes shape in our effort for continued improvements! Have a special larger event like a birthday, a retirement, or a wedding? Consider reserving the additional lot beside Riverside Retreat (additional fees apply). We manage the open grassy lot that extends to the right of the property, providing plenty of space for a larger outdoor gathering, all with a river view! NOTE: the ceiling in part of the lower river lounge is shorter (approx 73”). For taller folks, watch your head as you walk under the beam. We’ve padded the edges of the beam, but be aware of that height in the lounge, the Dockside room, the Wildflower room, and bathroom is approximately 73”. The Game room is standard height. One note: Our Property can comfortable house 14 guests. However, we only charge for 10 guests. Any guests beyond 10 are an additional fee calculated at the time of reservation. However, you must navigate two steps at the front door and a full flight of stairs for access to the lower level. Other things to note Our Property can comfortable house 14 guests. This guide shares details about the area and offers recommendations for things to do during your stay. You will receive this upon confirmation of your reservation, and again just before your visit with us. We will reach out to you with checkin details approximately 24 to 48 hours before your stay.
