Ylläs Sielikkö, a peaceful log cabin

A nice quiet and relaxed cottage for a holiday. The authentic log cabin is built with respect for tradition and is located in its own peace, but close to trails and Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. In your own yard at the edge of the forest, you can sit or even stay overnight in a lean-to made of driftwood. The sauna has both a traditional wood-burning stove and an electric stove. Storage space for sports equipment. Guests have access to snowshoes, slip-on shoes, sleds, 2 kick sleds, a fatbike and 2 old bicycles. The space Downstairs there is a windbreaker, hallway, separate toilet, dressing room, washroom and sauna with wood and electric stoves. The kitchen and living room are a unified high space. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed (160 cm wide). The loft has four separate beds under the slanted roof: three frame mattress beds (80 cm) and one 120 cm wide spring mattress on the floor. Please note that during the summer, the loft spaces cannot be completely darkened. In the yard, there is a wooden shed and an outbuilding, on the right side of which there is a workshop/warehouse, for example, for storing skis or bicycles. The backyard is bordered by a forest and there is a wooden lean-to with a fireplace in the yard. You can cook food on the fireplace if you wish, and it is also possible to sleep in the lean-to. (You can put a curtain in front of the opening) Guest access You have access to the entire cottage, a workshop/storage room in the outbuilding where you can store and maintain equipment, and a lean-to in the backyard. Other things to note During the spring season, the cottage is only rented for full weeks, and the changeover day is Sunday. The cottage is built with respect for tradition, entirely of breathable materials, and therefore, for example, the exterior walls of the house have not been treated with paint or other chemicals, but the wood is allowed to turn gray at its own pace.
