Seaside Cottage is the perfect getaway for anyone who loves the ocean. The sound of the sea is ever present in this spectacular cliff-side location, where endless views of Pico Island and the blue Atlantic soothe the senses. Enjoy early morning swims at the beach below, relax over leisurely breakfasts on the terrace and dine outside watching the stars. Horta, with restaurants, shops & activities, is just a 5 minute drive away. Well equipped & tastefully appointed, this cottage is truly unique. The space The house offers a spaceful open-plan kitchen living room. The living area has two sofas, with an amazing view over the ocean. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. Between the living space and the kitchen, there is a big dining table which seats six people. The main double bedroom has ample storage, and direct access to the garden terrace A wooden staircase leads to the upper bedroom, with exposed ceiling making for a lovely space, with a private second bathroom. A large window leads you to a roofed balcony with great views. Make the most of long summer evenings watching the light change on Pico's summit as the sun sets. Grill fresh fish on the barbecue and dine on the terrace. If you don't feel like cooking, there are several restaurants nearby and a wide selection in the main town of Horta. Guest access Guest can come and go as they please, and are welcome to use the house and the garden surround it. The beach, restaurants, and cafes are within easy walking distance. The main town, Horta, is just up and over the ridge, a 5-minute car drive away, where you can experience the thrill of a whale watching trip, scuba diving, visit the whaling museum, hire bicycles for a thrilling downhill ride from the Caldeira and much more... Other things to note Due to steep drops to the cliff, we don't recommend this cottage for children under 12 years. Due to the remote and isolated nature of the Azores, last-minute bookings or re-bookings are often impossible. As a result, we cannot make exceptions to our STRCT CANCELLATION POLICY once a booking is confirmed.
