Small Cottage Efficiency

Quintessential Maine efficiency cottage on the New Meadows River between the towns of Brunswick and Bath. Very close to Bath Iron Works. Kitchenette, internet, TV, heat, a/c, trash, plowing all included. The space We have a group of eight cottages situated in a semi-circle on about 6 acres of land - bordered on one side by the New Meadows River. There's a bench on the river bank - look for osprey, blue heron, bald eagles and sometimes a seal will follow the striped bass up the river this far. We are 12 miles from the open ocean and the river is perfect for exploring by kayak. The road at the front of our property can be busy during the day with local car traffic, but it's generally very quiet at night. My grandfather built the cottages (and house for himself and my grandmother on the same property) in the mid-to-late 40's. He had started a lobster pound across the road which had grown to become a restaurant & inn and later, under my father's management, a banquet room was added. The Inn was sold in 2004 (and is now a church) and Sue & I took over the ownership and operation of the cottages.
