One hundred steps up and you find Gracias Madre: a hilltop sitting jungle cabin extending 30 feet in the air with the birds and trees that overlooks the Caribbean Ocean. Its design is completely open to nature and boasts majestic views from two decks with a constant breeze. This is the perfect home for surfers and the adventure and nature enthused families and groups of friends. Enjoy your days connecting to the ocean sounds and exploring the many beaches and adventures out of your front door. The space Arrive home and open the front walls of the main floor and upstairs loft to a peaceful jungle experience. From visiting howlers monkeys to singing birds our decks are home to hammocks, locally sourced hardwood furniture, a yoga/sun deck, and more. The experience found at Gracias Madre is for those with an appetite to be in an open environment surrounded by nature. This home is also in the surf rich zone of Isla Colon. A short walk to some of the best waves in Bocas! TWO IMPORTANT NOTES **If an enclosed environment is preferred this is not the right fit for you. All beds have mosquito nets however living in and around nature means the occasional critter and friends may kbe around, but keep to themselves. **This is not the right fit for you if you are physically unable to walk up a steep hill. There are 100 steps (75 at very mild grade with the last 25 being steep). The Cabin is to be experienced completely and we welcome you home to enjoy all that we have made available for your time with us. Upon entering the house you will be welcomed by a large 10 by 30 deck and our open kitchen. At the opposite end of the cabin is a king bed situated for optimal evening and morning breeze. Surprisingly enough it gets chilly at night so make sure to use the blankets provided! Climb the ladder to our loft where you will be met by retractable full length windows offering a spectacular view of the blue Caribbean Ocean. Upstairs you have two queen beds on either end of the loft and open to the breeze and views. Step out to our large upstairs sun/yoga deck to enjoy your morning coffee, a good read in the hammock, or a soft morning stretch. Our bamboo enclosed bathroom opens to jungle views and offers a rain shower experience to clean off the salt from your dip in the ocean. A fully equipped kitchen and yoga space are just a few treats offered in addition to books, games, candles, and blankets. Our kitchen includes a fridge, drinking water, stove, oven, double sink, island, and stocked full of all your cooking needs. It is suggested that fresh food be stored in the fridge as to prevent the jungle creatures from getting a late night snack. All items are inventoried prior to and after your visit so please make sure anything that is taken out of the house is returned. Within a short 10 minute scenic drive to town we are perfectly positioned nearby all the offerings of town, but tucked away in privacy and solitude. For the surf and beach enthused we are within walking distances of 5 surf breaks and many beaches that bless the coastline of this magical island.
