Ideal for walking, hiking, biking or swimming. The former farm offers a magnificent, unobstructed view of the Alpstein and invites you to switch off. Herisau, Appenzell and St. Gallen are within easy reach. Distances: Zurich Airport about 40 min. OLMA St. Gallen about 15 min. Lake Constance approx. 25 minutes Schwägalp & Säntis about 30 min. The space The property offers a ping pong table, a heated hot pot with open air and fantastic mountain views, and a gas grill. The garden is completely fenced. Enjoy the magnificent, unobstructed view of the Alpstein. The heated hot pot can be used all year round. Surrounded by nature, you can enjoy relaxation in the open air, with an unobstructed view of the sky and the mountains of the Alpstein – especially beautiful in the evening or in the cooler months. The Güpsensee is within walking distance and invites you to stroll and swim. There are also numerous hiking trails nearby. Note: From the 2026 season, no outdoor pool will be available. The heated hot pot can be used all year round. The very spacious cottage offers space for community and retreat. On cooler days, the fireplace ensures cozy evenings. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and ideal for cooking together. In the house there is a projector with Blu-ray player, free fiber optic Wi-Fi, Netflix and over 250 TV channels. A workstation with desk, screen and USB hub is ideal for home office. Guest access To make check-in easier, there is a key box right next to the entrance. You will receive the code via our digital guest folder, which we will send to you 4 days prior to your stay. Other things to note At the Birkenhof, there is also the possibility of renting the adjacent, small vacation home "Schwänli" for two people next to the house "Märli". In winter, nearby cross-country and ski resorts invite you to ski and snowshoe tours.
