Enjoy the simplicity of this quiet and central accommodation, located in the center of Mérida. At Casa Josefina we create spaces to be in contact with nature. We have 2 rooms available, Suite Ana and Suite Sofia. The space The main house is an old property. Located in the center of the city of Merida, very close to the main avenues and emblematic neighborhoods. The property is divided into two sections: The first is a cafeteria open to the public, and the second section is two private rooms with an exclusive pool for guests. The Sofia room is a comfortable two-story private loft; downstairs is a comfortable king-size bed, closet, minibar, work desk, bathroom and a charming small private pool adorned with a wooden deck with access to the room and an open bathroom. You'll also find an interior garden that you can see from anywhere in the room. Even from the bathroom you have a beautiful view of the interior garden. Above the private pool rise 10 meters of a splendid cube of light, adorned with lianas of natural plants, which allows us to enjoy the natural light and the cool breeze of mornings and sunsets. The stairs lead us to the second floor where we find a large TV room, a space for reading, etc. The view of the sky from the cube of light and the vegetation of the upper floor give us that space of tranquility and harmony. On the second floor there is a small balcony overlooking the social pool and a huge ramón tree that provides shade to the tropical garden that adorns the entrance to the rooms. In this space you can rest and enjoy the sounds of nature that this corner in the center of Mérida offers us. My main objective as a host is that you feel 'at home' while visiting the city. As an important fact, the cube of light is covered by a fine mosquito net that prevents insects from entering the room and allows a view of the sky's blue. Guest access Guests have access to the cafeteria area, where there are two terraces, one covered and the other outdoors; and the private area of the rooms. The hallway leading to the rooms has tables and chairs for working or eating. A huge locust tree shades that area and keeps it cool during the day. The social pool area is for guests only. Other things to note The location of Casa Josefina is one of the greatest advantages of the accommodation. We are located very close to the best spots in downtown. 200 meters from the Santa Ana Neighborhood Park, 230 meters from the Remate Paseo de Montejo, which is the beginning of the main Avenue of the City; 700 meters from the Plaza Grande, where the cathedral of the city of Mérida is located, as well as very close to canteens, bars, restaurants and museums of the city. If you stay at Casa Josefina you will not need to take transportation since everything is very close to the accommodation.
