Students can get a lot of knock off stuff for cheap and good Chinese food. Union Square is 2 blocks down - a lot of shopping around there and tourist stuff. Embarcadero/Fisherman’s wharf is a 10-15 minute walk. South of Market (SOMA), is a 10-15 min walk for more techy and industrial ish peeps.
