This simple wooden loft sits in one of Madeira’s most secluded green valleys, surrounded by lush subtropical landscape, open land, and a small river below. With no neighbors in sight, it’s a place to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the island’s natural rhythm. After a day of hiking, swimming, or exploring, it offers a calm space to come home to. Best suited for guests who enjoy being outdoors and engaging with the land. The space The loft features an upstairs sleeping area, a cozy fold-out sofa and sitting space downstairs, a small fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a spacious porch to relax in. You’ll be sharing the garden and pool with us, as well as cats, chickens, birds, and other small wildlife. This is a living ecosystem, and part of the beauty of staying here is being surrounded by things that grow, move, and change with the seasons. Guest access Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and enjoy the shared garden, fire pit, pool, and BBQ area by the river. Free parking is available just around the corner. The outdoor spaces are simple and unstructured - a place to slow down, unwind, and spend time in nature. Other things to note Eco-friendly 🌿 Madeira is green, humid, and always changing. This home is designed to move with that rhythm. Heating The house uses an automated heating system designed to keep the space comfortable during cooler mornings and evenings. Cozy essentials We provide thick bedding, warm blankets, and thoughtful extras to keep you comfortable. In cooler months, we recommend bringing layers and slippers too. Fresh air Fresh air is part of what makes the house feel good. Opening windows during the day helps keep the space dry, healthy, and pleasant inside. The setting This is a quiet valley stay surrounded by lush plant life, animals, and shifting weather. Being close to nature is part of what makes it special.
