Description

A short walk from the Yonne, a natural border with Seine-et-Marne, your refuge is set in the heart of nature, on the shores of a beautiful pond with clear water when the summer comes. Come and enjoy a sublime setting just 30 minutes from the Fontainebleau Forest and 1h30 from Paris-Center! The space . Located on the banks of the pond of Benjamin and Gwenn, your hosts Homnest, the refuge has all the amenities in 14 square meters perfectly optimized: * Sleeping area: one queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) and one sofa bed (1 extra adult, extra bed) * Kitchen area: fridge, gas hob, sink, utensils, dishes and condiments * Lounge/dining area with high table & stools * Bathroom: Sink, walk-in shower, and eco toilet (dry toilet) * Soap, towels, and bedding provided * Heating by a gas stove * Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) * Outdoor furniture (except winter): table, chairs, BBQ & Chilean * Drinking water via a 5 liter fountain: do not drink water from the faucets, which is fed by a tank and is used for showers and dishes * Housekeeping included * Free parking On the food & activities side, extra charge and by reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then depending on availability after this time), your hosts offer you: - Aperitif board & beers (€30) - Bottle of champagne (€30) - Raclette or fondue (€50) - Barbecue party: beef rib, potatoes and wine (€60) - Canoe/boat rental for the day (€8 per person) - Romantic decor (€30) - Fishing session in the pond, in no kill only, the catches must be released (€25 per person, 4 people max per session) Swimming is possible in the pond, under your sole responsibility. A release of liability may be requested from you on site GOOD TO KNOW: The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, kitchen and heating run on gas and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap) 3) Dogs are allowed in the accommodation for an additional charge of €30, provided they are clean. Dogs of category 1 and 2 are not allowed as well as dogs weighing more than 30kg. Maximum 1 dog per stay. It is forbidden to bring your dog up on the bed, as well as leaving him alone in the accommodation while you are away. Outside, it must be kept on a leash (other animals being present on site). If your dog is wet, please dry it before getting inside. Any damage will be subject to an additional charge. During the day, your pet can be kept in the canine pension of your host Gwenn, right next to the accommodation (rate on request) Guest access . Check-in: After 5 PM Check out by 11am Key box available in case of late arrival You have a free space to park, close to the refuge Note: we have two shelters installed by the pond. You'll be in shelter number 1. Both shelters have been designed to maintain a private space as well as your privacy during the stay Other things to note . The shelter is located on the land of Gwenn and Benjamin, who work and live on site. Gwenn runs a small dog boarding house. You may therefore come across them, as well as their animals, during your stay. You can also meet the guests of the other shelter, especially on the access road There is no Wi-Fi in the accommodation The entrance to the shelter is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps. The accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM) Don't panic, you're not that far away: * Villeneuve-la-Guyard Station: 5 min * Sens: 28 min * Fontainebleau: 45 minutes * Paris (center): 1 hour * Troyes: 1 hour 10 minutes * Auxerre: 1 hour 10 minutes * Orléans: 1h45 * Reims: 2 hours At Homnest, we immerse you in a world of extraordinary adventures, as close as possible to the localities & their inhabitants. Our concept? We make beautiful Eco-lodges, then we install them for free with friendly hosts, who want to welcome guests, in the heart of their regions, passions and local attractions. Our ambition is to install 1000 shelters, with 1000 fantastic hosts, everywhere on Earth (Antarctica included). Welcome to your hosts Benjamin and Gwenn!
