Red Feather Retreat

A wonderful, private mountain retreat, less than an hour west of Ft Collins. Bring the family & friends to our great home w/ a fully equipped kitchen, 2 separate living rooms & 3 bedrooms that sleep 8. Laundry room w/ supplies. Lots of amenities! TV, ROKU, games, books. Wrap around deck w/ grill, patio table & chairs. Dowdy Lake w/in walking distance, hiking trails, kayaking & fishing,. In the winter , it's great for Ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing or just a winter retreat. The space Welcome!! You will find Red Feather Retreat is a spacious , well stocked, 2 level home on a hill at the end of the road. It's very private and quiet and close to the local grocery store, restaurants and other stores in Red Feather. Dowdy lake is a short walk or drive away. The entry is on the lower level and guests will have to climb an easy set of stairs to get to the kitchen, bathroom and deck. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a family room with a TV, an electric fireplace and the laundry room. There is laundry soap and fabric softener provided. I have added amenities for the little ones. There is a baby gate, a pack-n-play and a baby chair for the little ones to eat with the family. There are also games, toys and books for the kids. Head upstairs to find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a table that will expand for larger groups, a large living room with plenty of seating, the full bathroom and the primary king bedroom. The living room has a Large TV with ROKU, Netflix, a DVD player, a wood burning fireplace and an electric fireplace. There are games in the kitchen cabinet, and toys in various places in the home. ** Red Feather Retreat is available for the holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! There are binoculars on the lower shelf of the end table, phone chargers in the kitchen drawer, a fire extinguisher in the kitchen by the trash can and a first aid kit in the bathroom vanity. The wrap around deck is everyone's favorite place to relax, grill, eat and watch for wildlife passing through the property. There are forest views and mountain views from the deck and it's very private. Guest access **Red Feather Retreat is available for the holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years!! Guests can use the entire house except for the room next to the washer. There is a sign that says Private. There is a shed on the deck that has basic tools, more chairs and other thigs. The key is in the top middle drawer in the kitchen. Please lock it up and return the key. Please do not leave any food outside. There are bears and they will find it. Other things to note Red Feather is in the mountains and we do have mountain wildlife. That includes deer, elk, moose, mountain lions and bears. Bears are attracted to the smallest scent of food, including hummingbird feeders, half empty cans of soda, trash and any other food item left out. Please do not leave food out anywhere, including in your car. Please take your trash with you. Feel free to put hummingbird feeders out during the day but put them in the shed at night. If you arrive, want to cook on the grill and discover the propane tank empty, there is a second tank in the shed. If it's empty on not there, the grocery store that you passed on the way to the house refills propane. Please take a picture of the receipt and I will reimburse you. If you find that you left something behind, let me know and I will send it to you. There are baby supplies in the closet (room with bunk bed) including a baby gate, pack-n-play and a baby chair for meals.
