One of a Kind Mountain Retreat

Amidst the peaks of the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, above Malibu, down a gated winding road lies Rancho Fenix. Bordering Rocky Oaks Nature Reserve, on acres of open land, is a private 800sf guest suite. King bedroom, bath, open living and dining areas with full kitchen. A large queen sofa bed allows spacious accommodation for up to 4. Private patio with gas fire pit, grill, and small garden complete this secluded mountain sanctuary. Hike the trails out your door. The space For peace and serenity, there are wonderful roads and trails on and adjacent to the property. We are also close to lots of fun mountain and beach experiences. Calamigos Ranch, Saddle Peak Winery, Cielo Winery, The Old Place Restaurant and the Cornell Wine Co. Store, and the iconic Rock Store are all very close. Peter Strauss Ranch and King Gillette Ranch are also not far. Riding facilities in the area offer wonderful horseback rides through the mountains. The famous Paradise Cove, Zuma Beach, and others are just down the road. We are midway between Route 101 and Agoura Hills, and near Westlake Village, Calabasas, LA, Hollywood, and PCH in Malibu A car is recommended. There is convenient parking right at your suite. Please remember: Estimated travel times depend on the time of travel and traffic. 10-15 min. to Malibu beaches, restaurants, shopping on PCH 10-15 min. to 101 and Agoura shopping, restaurants 45 min-1 hour to Burbank Airport (a great easy to navigate place) 1 hour -1 hour 30 min to LAX Guest access DO NOT USE Google Maps to find our place! They have it wrong! Apple or Waze are fine. There is a gate with code. We are the first driveway on the right at the bottom of the hill. Parking is on the left side of the driveway. The Suite is around the left corner of the house. The lock box for the key is on a plant stand beside the front door. Please arrive for check-in after 3:00 and check-out before 11:00. No pets No parties or events No smoking ANYWHERE except on the patio in front of the Suite. A large people-friendly dog and three cats are on the property. There are critters in our mountains. You will undoubtedly see bunnies, squirrels, and lizards. You may see deer, coyote, or a bobcat. Rarely there are rattlesnakes and even more rarely a mountain lion. Other things to note A washer and dryer are available on the same floor as the guest suite, separate from the main house.
