Located on Black River Road 12 miles south of Lake Superior and Black RIver Harbor, the area offers day trips to Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds and hiking the North Country Trail. Waterfalls line Black River Scenic Byway. Arts, Farmers Markets, events and a quaint village by Big Powderhorn Ski Resort make this Lodge unique. With the feel of a social hostel, each room is private with it's own bathroom. 9 rooms total. More info on other Powder Hound Lodge listings. The space Our lodge has the feel of a hostel. When filled, the lodge is very social with 9 rooms and a lot of common areas to mingle. The rec room sets us apart from simply renting a room or a stand alone home. With a pool table, fireplaces, televisions, sauna and a rustic byob bar area you get a lot of amenities for the money. Guest access There are plenty of spaces to mingle or get away to enjoy the wilderness. Our rec room is the common area most spend time in with a pool table, football, couches and fireplaces. We have a kitchen and family style dining area with 2 large farmhouse tables. Sauna and byob rustic bar areas were added in and available for guests to use. 2 fire pits and a very large yard for lawn games. Other things to note We have 6 resident pups; Yogi our 175# St Bernard and now 5 younger pups. Because of the nature of our place, we cannot accommodate pets at this time.
