The space Our "Schwalbenhof" is located in a preferred location of Frechen-Königsdorf, in the historic center of the former village of Klein-Königsdorf. The quiet, wooded and family environment of Königsdorf connected to the immediate proximity to the city of Cologne makes the place the most popular place to live in the west of Cologne. The tranquil courtyard can be seen on the outside by the characteristic torsion. This will take you to the illuminated courtyard and the covered entrance area of your home. The 75 m², lovingly furnished feel-good apartment to the courtyard side can be entered via a separate entrance. The spacious bathroom adjoins the hallway. In the modern daylight bathroom you will find a large sink, shower bath and towel radiator. The cozy kitchen-living room is equipped with one or the other surprise in addition to the stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine and toaster, which you would not expect in a holiday apartment. The kitchen table is large enough for 4 to 6 people. In the adjoining living room, there is a sofa that can be converted into a sleeping place with just a few steps. With a comfortable "screen" as a partition/ screen, you can easily turn the homely room into your private, separate second bedroom if you are interested. A smart TV and numerous board games are also at your disposal. You will also find a well-equipped bookshelf here. The cozy master bedroom can be reached, behind a lockable door, via a - unfortunately somewhat steep - closed staircase on the 1st floor. There is a comfortable king-size box spring bed (1.8m×2m) and a wardrobe available for you here. You will also find a work area with stable Wi-Fi in the bedroom. A ceiling fan ensures pleasant coolness in summer. There is enough space for a toddler bed (on site). On the shared courtyard paved with natural stones, you can get through a courtyard door from the living room. While you enjoy your morning coffee on a bench, or prepare your food on the barbecue, you can watch our smoke tern colony (Hirundo rustica) from March to October. No pets are allowed to protect our swallows, as well as out of consideration for allergy sufferers. In the outdoor area or under the canopy of the front door, you are allowed to smoke. We ask you to respect the smoking ban indoors. In the courtyard there is also the possibility to store your bicycle. You are welcome to park your car for free on the quiet residential street (30 km/h zone) in front of the courtyard. Guest access You have access to the entire property, consisting of a kitchen-living room, living room (bedroom), master bedroom and bathroom. From the living room you can use the courtyard. Other things to note Thanks to the "Klein-Königsdorf" bus stop just a few steps away (250 m) and the "Frechen-Königsdorf" train station (with free parking spaces), which is easily accessible with a short walk (1.6 km) or by bus (5 min.), your accommodation has very good local and regional public transport links. By tram (lines S12, S19) you can easily reach Cologne city center (Cologne Cathedral/central station) within 15 minutes. From there, it is possible to change to long-distance transport. The travel time to the nearest highway junction "Köln-Lövenich" (A1) is 10 minutes and to the airport "Köln/Bonn" (CGN) 25 minutes. Cologne city center can be reached by car along Aachener Straße within 20 minutes. You also benefit from a comprehensive bus network. From the bus stop "Klein-Königsdorf" (250 m) you can use the bus lines 931 and 980 in the direction of Frechen (light rail line 7) or the line 980 in the other direction via Brauweiler Abbey and Pulheim to Worringen. And from the "Frechen-Königsdorf" train station (1.6 km), bus line 962 runs in the direction of Bocklemünd (light rail lines 3 and 4) and bus line 950 to the Rhein-Center to Cologne-Weiden with connection to light rail line 1 in the direction of Cologne city center or in the west in the Bergheim and Elsdorf area. In addition, the tram (lines S12, S19) runs out of town towards Horrem and Düren. Within walking distance of your accommodation, there are a variety of shopping options to meet your daily needs. Several supermarkets (Aldi Süd, Edeka, Rewe) are located right next to the "Frechen-Königsdorf" train station (1.6 km).
