The House in the Castle and the Terrace overlooking the Village

Our house, fresh from a renovation in 2024, combines the charm of history with modern comfort in 90 m2 all on one level. Every detail has been designed to give you a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where tradition meets well-being: exposed wooden beams, ancient decorations patiently brought to light by me... and the principles of Feng Shui guide the design, colors and arrangement of the furnishings and rooms. The space La Terrazza sul Borgo is the newest home of La Casa nel Castello, designed for a slow holiday immersed in local traditions, culture, and authentic village life. Il Giardino Segreto, our other property, is also available here on Airbnb. Both homes are part of the Slow Stay in Italy network. The House The terrace is truly the jewel of this home. Imagine yourself here with a glass of wine, watching daily life unfold along the charming streets of the medieval village of Suvereto. The terrace welcomes you and leads directly into the living area, the heart of the house. Interior Spaces Kitchen & Living Area The kitchen features a breakfast bar and all the comforts you may need during your stay. It is the result of a complete relooking of the home’s original kitchen, achieved by redesigning the layout, introducing a new color palette, and adding a beautiful travertine countertop. From the kitchen, you can access a bathroom/laundry room. Sleeping Area A spacious master bedroom with a romantic four-poster bed, a library corner, and access to a truly unique walk-in wardrobe, created from a mysterious old room connected by a traditional terracotta staircase. Relaxation Area A cosy TV corner with a comfortable sofa, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Tuscany. Second Bedroom The second bedroom features two single beds that can accommodate up to four guests or be used as daybeds when the house is occupied by just two people. Please note: to bring more natural light into the TV area, the bedroom wall does not reach the ceiling and stops approximately 30 cm below it, as shown in the photos. Main Bathroom Large and bright, with a spacious walk-in shower you may never want to leave. A Unique Layout Due to the special structure of the medieval village, the master bedroom and main bathroom are located on what feels like the first floor, making them exceptionally bright. Meanwhile, the kitchen and terrace are at ground level on the opposite side of the house. The property therefore has two entrances: the main entrance and a second entrance through the veranda, which opens directly onto one of the village’s quiet pedestrian streets. Why Choose This Home? Guest access You can access the house directly from the large terrace, located in one of the most charming pedestrian corners of Suvereto. Follow the signs to Il Caminetto and you will immediately spot our terrace at the end of the street! Other things to note Some details about the house: we renovated the entire house with great passion, trying to enhance the ancient architectural elements that had been hidden. I am a passionate interior relooker and for me it is really important to create welcoming environments with the right lighting. We brought back to light all the original plasters, I myself was lucky enough to discover the beautiful decoration in the niche in the bedroom! I therefore tried to decorate the house in a creative way, enhancing the history of the property.
