The space "Ginger & Cacao” is a one acre of sanctuary like property of lush tropical jungle and landscaped gardens. With views of the Caribbean sea and a short walk to Punta Uva beach. The property includes two elegant villas, a cottage (not included in this listing), a beautiful pool with pool pavilion with swinging beds, and the caretakers' cottage with the property laundry. The pool is shared. "Ginger & Cacao" is perfect for individual vacations, small family gatherings, small wedding parties and honeymoons. Perfect for adventures and people who appreciate nature and interaction with wildlife in its natural habitat. This listing handles the booking of the two Villas Ginger and Cacao ONLY! In addition to renting the two villas listed as a package at a special price, there are a few other options for rent to consider. Rent the entire property "Ginger & Cacao" with the two villas and the cottage; sleeps max 10, adults and children included. 2. Rent one of the villas individually - each one is for max 4, adults and children included. 3. Rent one of the villas in combination with the White Cottage, sleeps 6 max. Please note that the cottage is for adults only. 4. Rent The White Cottage individually, sleeps 2 adults max. The villas Ginger and Cacao are located at the opposite side of the pool area. High ceilings, hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchens and full baths, massive wooden doors and large decks complete the villas’ elegant furnishings. Villa Cacao has fantastic ocean, garden and jungle views from all rooms. A large ocean view deck connects the kitchen- bar- sitting area and master suit with the al - fresco dining area. It has one master suit with queen size bed with drapes, a large wardrobe. The full en-suite bath has adjacent outdoor shower. The sitting - sleeping area is comfortably furnished with 2 sofa-beds, set up for sleeping. This area has its own full bath, a TV screen with bedding cabinet underneath it, and a coffee table. The kitchen, with dishwasher including, is fully equipped for at home cooking and dining. Each space of the villa is ventilated by ceiling fans. In addition, we further ventilate the villa with a large and potent air-cooler, and a portable fan. This villa has been build with double roofing with open space in between for best natural ventilation of the entire house. That makes the installation of an A/C technically impossible. The villa has large sliding doors and windows with sliding mosquito screens. The villa shares a parking below the pool area. A private path takes you to the beautiful pool area, lit at night. This path has a few block steps that transition to the grass area surrounding the pool and pavilion. Villa Ginger is nested into the surrounding jungle with views of it from every single window and deck. The villa has A/C in the 2 bedrooms with queen size beds. It also has the option for a ceiling fan ventilation. The villa has 1 full bath with jungle views, fully equipped kitchen with dining area and two large decks. The front deck has a table for 4 with chairs and umbrella, perfect for al-fresco dining, a sitting area for 4 with umbrella, and a bench. The bedroom deck at the back of the villa has fantastic views of the jungle. The villa has its own parking space for 2 cars at the front. A short walk on paved path will take you to the pool area. The path has a slight incline, following the drive way to the small bridge, a few block steps to the grass area surrounding the pool and pavilion. Both villas have safe deposit boxes installed in the bedroom wardrobes. Please secure all your valuables and close/lock all windows and doors before exiting the property. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PERSONAL LOSS! On the opposite side of the pool area we have The White Cottage. Sunlight and a sense of lightness define the cottage. It is build under huge trees, facing East for terrific views of the Caribbean sea and to catch the ocean breeze. Large verandas with arm chairs and tables make this place perfect to relax after a long day at the beach while enjoying the surrounding views. French windows bring light and the green of the surrounding jungle inside. Its white interior complemented by teak wood wall and art, truly reflect the owner’s ideas for beach comfort. The open-floor layout allows for easy and comfortable indoor-outdoor dining. The cottage has well defined rest area with queen size bed and sofa, the modern full bath and walk-in closet are quite spacious. The high-end kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher including, for at home cooking and dining. In addition the A/C, the cottage is ventilated by numerous ceiling fans . Mosquito screens are installed on every window. The cottage uses a shared parking below the pool area. The White Cottage is perfect for a romantic get-away or honeymoon vacation. The beautiful pool area, surrounded by jungle and gardens, includes a pavilion with swinging day beds, and a leisure area with chaises with side tables and umbrellas. The pool area is the perfect spot to see large families of capuchin, spider and howler monkeys raiding the treetops searching for food. When particular fruits are in season, our trees get busy with toucans flying around and sloths feeding. Please note that the viewing of wildlife in its natural habitat is not guaranteed, but it's such a special treat when they visit us. The property grounds are beautiful and interesting to explore. Authentic tropical jungle with landscaped gardens around each house, and plants with lots of colors, and fragrance. Our multiple cacao trees and ginger plants inspired the name, “Ginger & Cacao”. The property is maintained by caretakers Cesar and Maribel, two wonderful and trustworthy people. For your service and convenience they reside in a separate cottage on the property grounds by the gate. Guest access Complete access to the reserved villa/s, to the shared pool & pool area, and gardens. We want our guests to feel at home, their home while visiting Punta Uva. Other things to note Upon request, we can help you with booking personal chef, massage therapist, yoga instructor, local transportation such as taxis and airport pick up, laundry services. None of the additional services are included in the rental price and are paid for directly to the service provider. We don't charge the providers with the standard for the area referral commission. We are just happy to be able to help our guests with recommendations and the bookings.
