Casa Termulini - Vacation home
Description
In the heart of a medieval mountain village near Lucca in the north of Tuscany lies our holiday home. In 2024, we renovated and furnished it to give it back its old Italian charm. But see for yourself to what extent we have succeeded. If you love peace and quiet, enjoy nature and want to immerse yourself in typical Italian life, this is the place to be. The space The house - Casa Termulini: Ground floor: The ground floor is a large open space with dining area and kitchen. The table can be extended on two sides, so you can sit with up to 8 people. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with an induction stove, dishwasher and washing machine. From there you go outside into the garden. There is a table for 6 people, which can be combined with another table, so that 8 people can also be accommodated here. There are deckchairs on the lawn to enjoy the hours of sunshine. If you prefer the shade, use the area under the olive trees and the palm tree. Floor 1 Here you find the first bedroom, which is equipped with a 140x200 bed. The view from the window leads to the piazza of the village. The sofa bed in the living room can also be used as a sleeping option for 2 people. If you want to work remotely, you can use the desk. Excellent Wi-Fi is available in the house and also in the garden. From the living room you can reach a small terrace overlooking the piazza. For the cozier season we have a fireplace that heats with wood and spreads a pleasant warmth. The bathroom on the 1st floor is equipped with a shower and bidet. Floor 2: This is the "Tuscan" floor with the beautiful typical wooden beamed ceilings. Here is another bedroom (160 x 200 bed), in which a crib can also be comfortably provided. In the wellness bathroom you can start the day wonderfully under the rain shower and take a bath in the whirlpool tub in the colder months. On this floor is another outdoor area: the covered porch, where you can enjoy the sunset and the view of the Apuan Alps in the evening. The village - Brandeglio: This mountain village (at an altitude of 640 m) is characterized by its location in the middle of nature, but above all by its typical Italian appearance with church, chapel, many small streets and original old Italian houses. A scenery without tourism and crowds. Here you can find peace and quiet and Italian life, but no supermarket or restaurants. For this you drive to the approx. Bagni di Lucca, 10 kilometers away. The surroundings/excursions: The former bathing and spa resort of Bagni di Lucca with the first casino in Europe, park, bridges, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and everything the heart and palate desire is the nearest place. If you continue from there, you are about 20 minutes later in Lucca, one of the famous cities of Tuscany. Day trips to e.g. Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Vinci are also recommended. The Lima River is suitable for swimming (swimming is possible directly "down" after driving down the mountain) or a trip to the sea (Viareggio, Marina di Pisa, about 50 km away) is possible. Hiking & cycling opportunities are available directly in Brandeglio or in the mountains (Garfagnana, Abetone). Other attractions include Canyon Park (11 km away), an adventure park with various offers (including ziplining, SUP, trekking, yoga, massages), rafting on the Lima (in Bagni di Lucca), and a stalactite cave. Other things to note Car: Since Brandeglio is a mountain village and the bus only runs twice a week, you should definitely have a car available. You drive 6 km up the mountain, so you should have no difficulty driving up a fairly narrow road. Water: On the piazza (right in front of the house) there is a fountain from which spring water flows. So you don't have to buy water (unless you prefer sparkling water ;-)), but can get it there. Large bottles and containers are available in the house. Registration Details IT046002C2X52PN633
