Unique & Understated Private Holiday Villa, located in the heart of Bingin, Uluwatu. The Property’s unique concept design was Inspired by Ancient Javanese living style, with a touch of South American influence. At Tuamotu, we favoured Antique furniture, local stones and recycled wood over other materials. We strongly believe that this philosophy is one of the most effective ways to evoke a sense of place during your stay. Tuamotu Bingin was created so guests can experience a glimpse of living in the past, with the luxury of modern day comforts. The original Limansam (Wooden House) is an original two generation old house that has been transported all the way from Java to Bali. It has been extensively renovated from its original structure. The main villa roof comprises some 35,000 bamboo shingles using an ancient building technique that only a few have managed to master. The shingles are placed one by one, by a sole workman, (Tukang in Bahasa) to create a unique piece of art. The small wooden house (Gladak, our second bedroom)) is around 150 years old and also originates from Java. History tells us that before the Dutch colonization of Indonesia in the 1600s, Javanese people were approximately 1.2 to 1.4 metres in height as is evident from the original sized windows and doors! We have retained these so you can be transported back in time and experience what it was like living as a traditional Javanese villager back in the day. (For easier access we have also added 2 new doors!). BEFORE REQUESTING A BOOKING, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO CHECK THE ROOM SIZE LAYOUT MEASUREMENTS (please refer to our photo album for reference) SO THERE IS NO misunderstandings ABOUT ITS SIZE. Enjoy experiencing old Java/Bali with open living, outdoor showers and for an extra special treat have a relaxing bath in a completely restored 200 year old Sampan (traditional canoe) made out of one single piece of wood. This is one of many original antique items you will find around our house and garden. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us. We also like to highlight that this is our holiday home, we do not offer Hotel services, such as Breakfast or meals. There are some great little cafe’s on the same street within walking distance should you need. NO PARTIES ALLOWED. PETS (of any kind) are NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE VILLA GROUNDS. To keep our villa, pool and garden at a high standard we have daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules. Please note those services can not be changed, canceled or postponed, as they are planned monthly in advance: - Pool service 3x week from 10am. - Garden service 3x week, from 10am - Pest control 2x a Month, we will notify guests of the dates. * Our housekeeping services are available 7 days a week from 10am to 2pm.. The villa staff will automatic enter the villa for cleaning and to assist guest with any needs.. Please advise us if you DON’T require this service or if you wish them to start at a later time. Also please feel free to ask the staff to leave at any time if their services are not required.. Our cleaning & maintenance team will access the villa at 11am on the day of your check out... We are sorry we can not accommodate any late check outs due to our high booking rate... We appreciate your understanding. *If you need a later check out after 11am, we advise you to book 1 x extra night.
