Nestled in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Nelly is a brand new, beautifully converted shipping container that offers the perfect escape for those seeking a unique and intimate getaway. Surrounded by stunning views, this one-of-a-kind retreat invites you to relax, unwind, and embrace nature in a cozy, yet stylish space. Enjoy evenings roasting marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit, soaking in the starry sky, or cooking up delicious pizzas on the Gozney Roccbox. As the sun sets over the hinterland, pour yourself a glass of wine, relax in the outdoor bath, and take in the breathtaking scenery while the birds sing. Nelly features a spacious, open-plan layout where the bathroom, kitchenette, and bedroom flow seamlessly into one another. There are no doors between these areas, creating a light, airy, and inviting atmosphere. Perfect for those who love a minimalist, cozy environment with everything you need just steps away. The kitchenette is equipped with a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee, a Smeg kettle and toaster, and a 90L fridge with a built-in freezer compartment. We provide a starter pack for breakfast, including tea, Nespresso pods, milk, local honey, butter, eggs, sugar, and a seasonal treat. Should you have any dietary preferences, just let us know as we’ll be happy to accommodate. On the patio, you’ll find a Gozney Roccbox and Weber BBQ for outdoor cooking, plus two comfy lounge chairs for you to relax and soak in the views. For dining, a four-person table on the grass awaits, perfect for meals or games. Please note: While we do not offer a gas cooktop, oven, or microwave inside, we encourage you to embrace the outdoor cooking experience with the Gozney Roccbox for wood-fired pizzas and the Weber BBQ, both perfect for creating delicious meals under the open sky. The Weber features a half hotplate, perfect for cooking eggs for breakfast! Olive oil, salt, and pepper are provided for your cooking convenience. Wake up to panoramic views from your bed with large windows on the side and in front of the container. The bed features premium French flax linen in beautiful colours and offers convenient storage space underneath for small suitcases. We also offer carefully selected unique games that promote connection. The space is climate-controlled with reverse air conditioning and fans for warmer days and cooler nights. The block-out blinds allow you to indulge in a refreshing nap at any time of day, ensuring you can fully relax whenever you need. Connected to the kitchenette is a small but stylish bathroom with a rain shower, concrete basin, and mirror. We provide hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for your stay. In addition to the patio, you'll have exclusive access to a second outdoor seating area, complete with a fireplace, lounge chairs, and a handmade outdoor bathtub that comfortably fits two people. While we've done our best to enclose the space, the steel farm gates have gaps that little dogs could squeeze through. We can’t guarantee it’s escape-proof, so we kindly ask that you supervise your furry friend at all times. There’s spiral stakes outside to make supervision easier, they can be moved around so your pup stays close while you relax. 🐶 How much space does my dog have to play? Nelly has about 1 acre of space, plenty of room for your dog to roam, explore, and enjoy. 🐶 What’s provided for my furry friend? We’ve got your pup covered with a stylish Henlee vegan leather dog bed that’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. You'll also find two dog bowls with a special treat on arrival. There’s a spiral stake outside to make supervision easier, it can be moved around so your pup stays close while you relax. Plus, we’ve created a ‘chew library’ with eco-friendly coffee wood sticks for your dog to play with! 🐶 Is there a fee for bringing my furry friend? Yes, we charge a $40 flat fee per pet per stay to cover additional cleaning. Please note we accept up to two pets per stay. Simply add a pet when booking through Airbnb, and the fee for the first pet will be applied automatically at checkout. We separately send through a payment request for the second pet if applicable. 🐶 Are there dog-friendly spots in the area? Absolutely! Guest access Guests have full access to Nelly and its surrounding outdoor areas, including the fire pit, barbecue, pizza oven, and handmade outdoor bath which is exclusively for your use. You’ll enter through your own private driveway, ensuring complete privacy and seclusion throughout your stay. While there is another Airbnb accommodation, Into The Woods, on the property, it is located separately. Guests of Into The Woods do not have access to the spaces reserved exclusively for Nelly, ensuring your experience remains peaceful and private. When you park near the stables, you’ll find a seating area reserved for Into The Woods guests, located about 30 meters away. The entrance to Nelly and your designated parking area are about 40 meters in the opposite direction, making your space even further from the Into The Woods seating area and ensuring complete privacy throughout your stay. We are proudly an inclusive stay and all guests of any background or community are welcome here in this safe space. Other things to note Privacy: Enjoy complete privacy during your stay. Although another Airbnb, Into The Woods, is on the property, it’s located separately, and guests here will not access the spaces dedicated exclusively to Nelly. Space Layout: Nelly features a cozy, open-plan layout with a seamless flow between the kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. A curtain separates the bathroom area, offering added privacy while maintaining a relaxed, intimate feel. Amenities: Everything you’ll need is listed in the description. If something’s not mentioned (like a microwave or iron), it’s not available but we’ve made sure you’ll have everything to make your stay comfortable! Please note: The plugs for charging devices are on the left-hand side of the bed. There is no charging point on the right-hand side by the large windows, so guests using devices like a CPAP machine should plan to sleep on the left. Septic System: Please be mindful of the products you use, as we have a septic system. Rest assured, everything provided in the container is septic-safe! Mobile Reception: Telstra provides the most reliable mobile service; other networks may have limited coverage. Free WiFi is available for light browsing and streaming, but bandwidth is limited. It may not support high-demand tasks like video calls or large file transfers. If you need to work online, we recommend considering alternative accommodation, as Nelly is all about relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Outdoor Kitchen: Because our cooking area is fully outdoors, local wildlife can sometimes be curious if food is left out overnight. We do regular pest control and complete a full clean between every stay, but we kindly ask that you wipe down the BBQ or pizza oven surfaces and bring food indoors overnight. Parking: You’ll have your own private parking space about 40 metres from Nelly, tucked under the old stables (you can spot it in the photo gallery). Larger vehicles may extend slightly beyond the covered area, approx. 30 cm, and those with higher clearance may not fit under the shelter. There’s also space to park in front of the stables if you prefer an uncovered spot, with enough room for two vehicles in total. Driveway: Please note that both our driveway and MacDonalds Road are gravel. The private driveway leading to Nelly is quite steep, so it may be more challenging for small or low-clearance vehicles. If this could be an issue for your vehicle, our other stay on the property (Into the Woods) would be a better fit. Nature: Surrounded by beautiful bushland, you may encounter wildlife like insects and reptiles (spiders, snakes etc.). We recommend wearing enclosed shoes when exploring the outdoors. Wildlife Sounds: Expect the soothing soundtrack of birds, frogs, and the natural environment around you. At times the wildlife can be lively, so if you’re sensitive to sound, earplugs may be helpful for a completely quiet sleep. Outdoor Fire: Make the most of the outdoors with firewood, fire starters, and marshmallow forks provided complimentary. Extra firewood is available for $20 per bag and can be requested in advance of or during your stay. Pets: Please review the house rules for details on our pet policy. If you'd like to bring your furry friend, kindly add a pet to your booking. There is an additional flat fee of $40 per pet per stay. Our Dog: Hunter, our friendly pup, lives on the property and may pop over to say hello or have a play. If your furry friend isn’t comfortable around other dogs, just let us know, and we’ll happily keep him on a leash during your stay. Infants & Children: Due to the cozy size of Nelly, we don’t accommodate infants and children.
