Skógafoss

Sited amidst working farmland within sight of the mighty Skogafoss waterfall. Þorsteinshus is located on the site of an old settlers´farm, Ytri Skogar. Legend has it that Þrosi the Viking lived here. His gold is reputedly hidden under the Skogafoss waterfall. The dairy and sheep farm has has been in our family for almost 60 years. The space Good to know: The nearest grocery store and gas station are either in Hvolsvöllur 50 km. Or Vík 34 km from the location of the house. All of the rooms have double beds; two can either be double beds or convert to two single beds. Kitchen, dining area and living room occupy the same space on the main level. The house is fully equipped with a powerful oven, gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. All kitchen equipment is supplied.
