Description

Relax, visit the animals, hike, explore or venture out at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy sporting events, night life, concerts, plays, ballets, the symphony, family fun parks, nature and unique, small towns and wineries. Minutes from beautiful nostalgic Parkville, which originated as a river port. The arrival of the train ensured the town's survival after the Civil War. Enjoy museums, Union Station, or learn about the history of Kansas City. The “Shanty” is private but so convenient. Other things to note If any of our guests have allergies or autoimmune issues to cleaning products, perfumes, or dyes that may affect them, please let us know when you book. We will gladly clean Shanty and launder towels and linens with Free and clear environment friendly cleaning products prior to your arrival. Also there are train tracks, located 1 mile from the shanty. There is a fan for white noise and also a sound machine to drown out any disturbance. Personally we do not notice the sound with the windows closed at night. But want to make people aware of this since we did have 1 couple complain.
