There's a spacious second single bedroom with direct access to the covered balcony, and third single bedroom with access to the roof terrace. The views are glorious, overlooking orange, lemon, olive, and almond groves down to Lake Beznar and up to the western end of the Sierra Nevada. Guest access Parking - closest at 50 metres (flat) in village parking area. Great location: - 25 mins picturesque Granada - 25 mins beaches (Costa Tropical) - 15 mins Lanjaron (pretty spa town & gateway to the Alpujarras) Many walks from the door of the house. There is a bar in the village and local services (bars/restaurants, banks, supermarkets, pharmacy) within a 20 minute stroll (or 3 mins by car) to Talara (less than 1km). Other things to note About the area: The Lecrin Valley is known as the Valley of Happiness, and has great biodiversity. It is filled with orchards of oranges, lemons, almonds, pomegranates, avocados, olives and much more. It is lusher and greener than many other parts of Andalucía as it is fed year-round by rivers descending from the Sierra Nevada mountain range (into Lake Beznar), and supplemented by drainage channels (acequias) designed and built by the Moors to support village agricultural activities. Chite is close to the centre of the Lecrin Valley (which has 8 municipalities with 17 friendly village communities altogether). Walking is great, with magnificent views to high mountains (normally snow-capped from Nov to May) and alongside serene blue-green reservoirs. At the same time you are only 20 minutes from the beautiful and vibrant Granada city with all its attractions. Likewise, Chite is 15 minutes from the pretty spa-town of Lanjarón (the gateway to the Alpujarras), and 20 mins from the Med and many beaches of the Costa Tropical. So it's a great location whether you want to stay very local in the tranquility of the Valley, or explore more widely. Or for both! Malaga airport (for the cheapest car hire options) is 90 minutes, Granada Airport 45 minutes. Malaga City is 75 minutes, Almeria at 90 minutes and Cordoba 120 minutes (so all do-able for day-trips).
