The space This accommodation is a cozy mini-home built in November 2024, set in the peaceful nature of Lapland just a 30-minute drive from Levi and about 1 km from Lake Jerisjärvi. The compact cabin is ideal for a one-night stopover or a longer stay, whether you are traveling further north into Lapland or towards Norway. The cabin features a wood-heated sauna and shower, fireplace, AC, fast WiFi (100mb/s) and a freezer toilet. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 1 child with a double bed and a sofa bed. In winter, a cross-country ski trail runs nearby, and with no light pollution you can enjoy a star-filled sky and the Northern Lights right from the yard. Guests also have access to the area’s shared amenities: a north-facing lean-to shelter with a fireplace (firewood included), a rowing boat on Lake Jerisjärvi in summer, maintained ski and snowshoe trails in winter, and a sledding hill with free sleds. There are also two other similar cabins in the area, making this place ideal for solo travelers and couples. The cabin is conveniently located near Levi (46 km) and Ylläs (32 km) ski resorts, as well as Kittilä Airport (60 km). This makes it the perfect base for a skiing or activity holiday in winter, and for hiking and biking adventures in summer. If you arrive by plane to Kittilä, rental cars are easily available directly at the airport. The drive to the cabin is easy even in winter as the road is wide, and you reach our private road to the cabin on one straight route without any turns. Guest access Guests have the entire mini-home for their private use. Facilities include a living area, double bed, sofa bed, a small kitchenette with a hotplate, wood-heated sauna with shower, and a fireplace. You can drive directly to the cabin, with free parking available on-site. The key is stored in a lockbox, making self check-in flexible at any time. In addition, all shared amenities in the area are freely available: a north-facing lean-to shelter with a fireplace (firewood included), a rowing boat on Lake Jerisjärvi in summer, maintained ski and snowshoe trails nearby in winter, and a sledding hill with free sleds. Other things to note This is a compact mini-home that provides all the essentials, but it is smaller than a traditional cabin. The kitchenette is equipped with a hotplate (no oven or dishwasher), and the toilet is a freezer model. The cabin has running water, which comes from a large indoor water tank. In winter, the tank is refilled once per day, while in summer guests can add water themselves by opening a valve. Drinking water is provided in a separate container. All water comes from our own well and is technically drinkable, but since it stands in the cabin’s storage tank it is not officially classified as drinking water. Winter in Lapland can be cold and snowy, but the cabin stays warm and cozy with an AC, floor heating, a fireplace, and a wood-heated sauna. There are also 2 other similar cabins in the area. The cabin is easily accessible by car all year round, even in winter. The nearest grocery stores and restaurants are in Muonio (21 km). Firewood is included in the price. All our guests are welcome to use the north-facing lean-to shelter with a fireplace, and in summer also the rowing boat on Lake Jerisjärvi. In winter, we maintain our own 4 km traditional cross-country ski trail as well as a dedicated snowshoe trail, both of which pass close to the cabin. There is also a sledding hill nearby, and sleds are freely available for guests to use. We also rent out canoes, snowshoes, electric fatbikes, and winter clothing. In addition, we arrange various local activities. Feel free to ask us for details, and we’ll help you find the perfect experiences for your stay.
