Casa Solar Monteverde Forest Paradise

Relax and let the forest awaken your senses. The house is located at the heart of Monteverde, tucked in the forest and within walking distance of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Children’s Eternal Rain Forest, Monteverde cheese factory, and Curi-Cancha Reserve. Also is 10 minute drive to cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. The space Casa Solar is a two-story, 90 square-meter house. The living room invites sunlight and opens onto a porch with views of the jungle, perfect for yoga or for enjoying a drink. The spacious downstairs bedroom provides a double bed and a bathroom off the living room. The second floor main bedroom includes a queen bed and a private shower overlooking the forest. The independent open kitchen has a spacious counter and is equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, pots and pans, plates and silverware. The kitchen’s glass doors open onto a view of the gardens and their flora and fauna. Groups of more than 4 people can add Casa Mot-Mot , which is on the same property and offers art and amenities in an apartment comfort. The host strives to offer a unique, ecofriendly home, surrounded by the jungle sounds of the bell bird and the yigüero, our national bird. The house provides total privacy after a day hike, unique moments of silence, and morning wake-ups with birds singing. The soft whispering of different animal sounds coming from deep in the forest or from the tallest tree is a magical experience. Our open indoor/outdoor spaces enable the visitor to appreciate the beauty of the forest. The inside of the house holds special pieces of family-made artwork – including many of my father’s early paintings and my mosaic pieces, giving it a unique and personal touch. The house is private, sheltered from the road, but also close to the owners’ house, so that you will be able to reach us easily with any question at all. Guest access the guest has access to the private parking for two car a garden area with hammocks. Other things to note Casa Solar is within a short walk or 5 minutes of drive of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Curi Cancha Reserve and Bajo Tigre Reserve which is part of the much larger Eternal Children's Forest. All are private reserves with miles and miles of marked trails and interpretive areas. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve was the first preservation effort and is the Crown Jewel. It is a 5,000 hectare wildlife sanctuary which ranks among the most visited ecotourism attraction in Costa Rica. The reserve boasts extraordinary biodiversity with over 100 mammal species, 120 reptilian and amphibian species, 400 bird species, and more than 2,500 plant species. The community also has a Nature Center, bat jungle, butterfly gardens, frog pond, serpentarium, suspension bridges and ziplines.
