Ground floor - wifi - up to 4 guests The apartment, located just a few minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain, is a modern and finely finished space, an ideal base for visiting the city given its very central location. In the immediate vicinity you'll have Via del Corso with its shops, Piazza di Spagna with the Spanish Steps and the nearest metro stop (Barberini - line A) is a 7-minute walk away. Wish you a wonderful stay in Rome! The space The apartment offers a kitchen equipped with induction hob, dishwasher, combined oven (normal + microwave), fridge and freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a living area equipped with a double sofa bed with a TV and a complete bathroom on the lower floor with shower and bidet. On the upper floor there is a double bed (standard size 160x200cm) with a TV, an en suite walk-in closet and a laundry area complete with washer-dryer, iron and ironing board. The house is delivered to each stay with bed linen and towels (sheets and pillowcases as well as a set of towels for each guest - one bath and one face as well as a shower mat), a basic supply of cleansing gel for personal cleaning and toilet paper (2 rolls). I always recommend organizing in advance and booking visits and guided tours before arriving in Rome, if you want to make your stay unforgettable the city offers many possibilities! I am completely available to help you and suggest local experiences and special places that you absolutely cannot miss, you just have to ask :-) HISTORICAL NOTE The building where the apartment is located, is part of the complex of Via della Mercede 11 and 12, dating back to the Seventeenth Century and owned by the Berninis. Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who apparently lived here, had his studio on the ground floor where he sculpted the two Angels today inside the adjacent Basilica of Sant'Andrea delle Fratte. A plaque outside the Palace with the bust of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, sculpted by Ettore Ferrari in 1898, reads as follows: “HERE, GIANLORENZO BERNINI LIVED AND DIED, SOVEREIGN OF ART TO WHOM REVERENT POPES, PRINCES AND PEOPLES BOWED. THE COMMITTEE FOR THE CENTENARY HONORS WITH THE COMPETITION OF THE MUNICIPALITY POSE VII DEC MDCCCXCVIII” (1898). Guest access The apartment is your own. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ AND CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING HOUSE RULES BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL: - please inform us the soonest you can about your expected arrival time at the apartment; - check in time is 3pm - 8pm; the arrival time must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise your desired check in time may not be guaranteed; - CHECK IN PROCEDURE > all the guests will be required to present a valid identity document upon the arrival to be registered to the Italian security authorities, as required by the current legislation regarding short stays (also minors); each guest is required to sign a short term rental contract (possibly before the arrival in electronic format); - according to the Italian law in Rome the tourist city tax is € 6,00 per person per night, applied for the first 10 nights (children under 10 years old are exempt); the amount is collected by Airbnb with the booking payment; - for each stay the apartment is equipped with a BASIC supply as follows: bed linen (sheets, pillowcases and blankets for each bed - preparation of sofa/armchair beds or additional beds on request before the arrival); bathroom linen (one face towel and one bath/shower towel per guest); personal care detergents (one single-dose soap and one bar of soap per guest); toilet paper (two rolls for each bathroom); - it is not possible to wash the linen provided on the arrival at home - the cost for each damaged piece will be charged if this happens; for stays exceeding 6 nights there is an extra cost for linen change based on the number of guests and occupied beds; - please respect the other neighbors (do not make noise between 10pm and 8am); - baby cot available on request (linen not provided); - extra cost will be charged on guests if the flat will be found at the check out in particularly dirty and untidy conditions.
