Welcome to The Endless Summer Apartment. Freshly renovated and located at Cape Town's famous kite beach, this apartment is perfect for kite surfers, remote workers, families or anyone after a cosy, comfortable and calm home-away-from-home. Wake up to ocean views, watch the sunset from the patio while enjoying a braai (BBQ) for dinner, make the most of the hub of wonderful restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The space Our beachfront apartment is located on the ground floor of the Sea Spray apartment block with iconic views of Table Mountain across the bay and the famous kite beach across the road. We have just completed a full renovation, to create this carefully considered and curated apartment for our guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a Nespresso machine, Nutribullet blender, dishwasher, washer dryer, gas hob and cooker. While there are loads of restaurant options in the neighbourhood to try, should you decide to eat-in, we have everything available for a relaxed at home dining experience. The breakfast bar and counter space in the kitchen is spacious and means that everyone can hang out together without it feeling crowded. Amenities include: coffee pods, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt, pepper, a couple of the basic seasonings, plus laundry and dishwasher pods. The main bedroom features a queen bed, with 300TC cotton percale linen, pillows options (all hypoallergenic), a freestanding wardrobe and bench (for those who prefer to live out of their suitcase). The bedroom sliding doors are double glazed, and allow incredible views over the bay from the bed - a wonderful place to wake up. The second bedroom features two single beds (which can easily be pushed together to create a king sized bed), with 300TC cotton percale linen and hypoallergenic pillows, as well as a built in wardrobe and shared side table and multi-plug. Both bedrooms have electric blankets for winter, and the living room has a 3-panel gas heater plus cosy throws if needed. The bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower, and the following amenities are available: body wash, shampoo, lotion (as well as a couple of extra 'in case of emergency' bits). In the living area we have a 4-seater casual dining table, an incredibly comfortable sofa plus two Malawi chairs, some workout equipment, a games selection (puzzles, lego, bananagrams, playing cards), and a smart tv for when you just need to kick back and watch a movie. We have a workspace and unlimited fast-fibre wifi for those needing to work remotely. The living room features a large sliding window with sea views. The sea facing private patio has comfortable outdoor lounge furniture and BBQ, grass in front with a secure gate (which can only be opened by security tag) leading to the beach road. Communal Areas The communal areas of the complex include a heated swimming pool with incredible mountain views, partially enclosed dining area, and wood BBQ (braai) facilities. These is also a wash bay for cars, wetsuits and post beach sandy feet, and outdoor laundry lines. We have a wonderful 24h security team who are based at the front security entrance. The Area You’re less than a minute from two food gems (Bootleggers Cafe and Jerry’s Burger Bar), as well as a kiting shop. A little further down the road is the area known as “Beachfront” which has a number of great bars, restaurants and cafes - you will be given a list of all of our favourites before you check in. To get to Cape Town central, you can drive, Uber or take the MyCiti Bus - outside of rush hour it’s about a 20 minute drive. Other things to note Kite Surfers Being across the road from the famous kite beach means you can pump your kite on the grass in front of the flat and be on the beach in under a minute. There are a handful of local kite shops in the area, and people offering shuttle services for downwind dashes, equipment hire etc. We have everything available on our Guidebook, however if you have any questions we’d be happy to help. Family Travel We know travelling with littles can be a handful, so if you are travelling with children or babies please let us know as we have a camp cot and a few other bits for child friendly stays available on request. About your hosts Hello, Christine & Shaun here! Brother and sister who grew up in Blouberg and are lucky to still call Cape Town home. Shaun lives nearby and is your guy for anything relating to cycling, fishing, or birding.
