Welcome to Hillside Hideaway, a cozy and family-friendly mountain retreat in Big Bear! Steps from Big Bear Snow Play and across from the Convention Center, our cabin is perfect for ski trips, romantic getaways, family vacations, or a relaxing weekend escape. With a private yard, spacious deck, and a warm fireplace inside, you’ll find everything you need to enjoy the mountains year-round. The space Outdoor living: Large deck with dining table, BBQ grill, Adirondack chairs, and a gas firepit. Spacious backyard for stargazing and s’mores nights. Indoor comfort: Wood-burning fireplace, Smart TVs with free Wi-Fi, and a private master balcony with beautiful views. Sleeping arrangements (up to 8 guests): - Master: King bed + balcony access - Second bedroom: Queen bed - Third bedroom: Twin daybed + pull-out twin (best for children) - Living room: Sofa converts into a large lounge-style bed Bathrooms: - Downstairs: Full bathtub/shower combo - Upstairs: Walk-in shower Kitchen & dining: Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, blender, mixer, wine glasses, and more. Indoor dining plus outdoor dining on the deck. Dishwasher, washer, and dryer included. Kid-friendly touches: We’ve added little extras to make traveling with children easier, including a pack n' play, a small collection of books, toys, and an activity table to keep kids entertained. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin, including driveway parking (2 cars), front and back decks, and the private yard. Other things to note Maximum occupancy is 8 people with no more than 6 adults. Winter: Chains or 4x4 are required during snow. No refunds for weather challenges. Wildlife: This is a mountain cabin surrounded by nature. While we do our best to keep the space clean, expect occasional visits from spiders, ants, chipmunks, or even bears (please store food securely). Policies: - No pets (allergies) - No parties; max occupancy 8 guests (6 adults max) - Quiet hours: 10 PM – 7 AM (strictly enforced by city) - Parking: Max 2 cars in driveway (no street parking) - Primary guest must be 25+ Power outages: May occur during fire-prevention shutoffs.
