This cosy cabin is nestled in the Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park - Lapland's true wilderness, surrounded by peaceful forests, lakes, and fjells. It’s the perfect place to experience authentic Finnish culture, away from the larger resorts and crowds of Levi or Rovaniemi for example. We are only a 25-minute drive from Äkäslompolo village and 45 minutes from Kittilä Airport. Here, you’ll enjoy dark skies, privacy, comfort, and the natural beauty of Lapland in every season. Location & Access You’ll be staying in a quiet wilderness area, about 25 minutes from Äkäslompolo’s shops, restaurants, and ski services. A car is strongly recommended, as public transport does not reach the cabin. The road is ploughed in winter and accessible with a normal car (winter or studded tyres). This is where you experience the real Lapland, surrounded by silence, open skies, and reindeer instead of crowds. From February onwards, the cross-country ski trails are groomed right to the cabins, connecting directly to the national park network (weather dependent). You can ski straight from your door or explore countless wilderness and backcountry routes nearby. In town, you’ll also find downhill ski slopes, equipment rentals, and cafés at the base of Ylläs Fell.
