Spacious Victorian Bungalow: Garden of the Gods

This inviting place is exactly what you’re looking for in your Colorado Springs stay. Locally owned and managed by long time CS residents. Ideal location, brimming with comfort and cleanliness. The bungalow is an historic 1890s 2 bd 1 bth with charm to spare. Modern full kitchen, updated bath with soaking tub. Walking distance to stores and dining, super close to key attractions (GOG, Pikes Peak, Manitou, Cave of the Winds). This is where you want to stay in our awesome City. No pets please The space You will love your stay in this fully furnished 2 bed 1 bath single family home. The bungalow was built in 1898 as one of the first homes in the area during the days of the Wild West. It has much of the original charm of the era but has been lovingly updated to be a perfect home base for guests, leaving nothing for you to do but to relax after a day of sightseeing, shopping, adventuring or visiting with family and friends. Bedroom 1 features a super comfy king bed and an available twin mattress (and pack and play) located in closet for kids or additional guests, window AC unit, vintage lounge chair and TV with AppleTv. Bedroom 2 is a cozy private room with an inviting queen bed, window AC unit, desk and lounge chair. The recently remodeled full kitchen is stocked with the necessities likes pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware, knives, cooking tools, mixer, mini blender for smoothies, electric stove. Tap water is great here! Coffee station is ready to get your day started and the breakfast nook is the perfect place to enjoy that cup of joe. Trash and recycling on site. The bungalow is 420 friendly but I ask that your please enjoy outside only, not all guests want to smell your Colorado adventure ;) . There are some quirks and character to the place due to its age, but it's cozy, clean and perfectly located for all things Colorado Springs. Please keep in mind that my place is a short term vacation rental, not a commercial hotel or HGTV show ;) ***THERE IS NO CENTRAL AC *** But there are 3 individual units and lots of fans. If this is something that you MUST have in a vacation rental, my place is not for you. The bungalow generally stays pretty comfortable. Please consider your needs before booking. Guest access The whole house is yours. You will have plenty of privacy and feel like a real local during your stay. Enjoy sitting on the front porch for mountain views, wildlife sightings and lots of cyclists cruising by on their way to the Garden of the Gods. There is a private back yard to spread out in, look for deer! The driveway can fit 2 cars easily. The garage is not part of the rental. Make yourself at home but please respect the neighbors, wildlife and my place. Other things to note No pets please! I understand people's pets are their family or important companion animals, but for several reasons, I cannot accommodate any animals in the Bungalow. Please respect this request. There are many other pet friendly lodging option in town, this just is not one of them. *certified professional service animals with notice are of course permitted. When leaving please wash any dishes used (you can leave them in the dish strainer) and put sheets and towels into the laundry basket near the washer ( no need to start a load). There is WiFi and an Apple TV is connected. The remote is universal-use the lower part of the remote to turn on and use the apple tv. Its a little funny (a menu for the tv itself will pop up) but it works and we all get the hang of it. BEARS! There are bears in the area (along with deer, racoons, crows and squirrels). Guests must use bungee cords on the trash bins to keep wildlife safe and trash free. Short Term Rental Permit #0114 The cleaning fee covers normal use and wear. If there is excessive mess that extends beyond the normal use (think unwiped up spills, stains and food on the furniture and rugs, trash not thrown away/recycle not utilized) there will be a $100 minimum extra fee. This will cover the cost of extra cleaners hourly rate, additional treatments and deep cleaning procedures etc.
