Casa Verano Jungle Beach Apartment

Bohemian rustic luxury just a 5 minute walk to Punta Uva beach, in a 1 bedroom apartment suite with indoor and outdoor living rooms and a full kitchen in our Caribbean House with handmade furniture from local tropical hardwoods, top-of-the-line fixtures and amenities, and treasures from our travels. A peaceful oasis outside of Puerto Viejo. The space The apartment has one King bedroom and a separate living room with a sofa, coffee table and projector, screen and speaker with Apple TV (Use your netflix, hulu, prime, HBO etc accounts. We have some already set up for you.). The apartment was recently renovated for maximum comfort for 2 people, plus enough room for a baby or small child. Both rooms are screened in and have fans and custom built wood shelving and furniture; the king size bed has a Costa Rican made orthopedic foam mattress and mosquito net; and the living room has a custom made modular sofa for relaxing or working inside. There is a large bathroom and shower area with Solar Hot water, double sinks, and 2 separate toilet rooms; a full open restaurant style kitchen with everything you'll need to cook any meals during your stay; and a beautiful outdoor living space with a hanging sofa bench, hammocks to chill, eating bar and a space to work with your laptop if need be. Internet is high speed fiber optic. Guest access The house also has an outdoor shower to rinse off after your beach day. The garden is shared with us. We are a couple from New York City, and this is our property in Punta Uva. We live on the other side of the garden with our young daughter, and are available to offer local advice and help organize tours, rentals (surfboards, bikes), and activities in the area. When we are not here, our local caretaker will be available and will provide the same services. The garden, outdoor shower and the rest of the property are shared with us or possibly renters upstairs but the apartment, including kitchen, bathroom and outdoor living area are all exclusive to you/our guests. Linens and towels are provided, as well as separate beach towels. We provide a once-per-week cleaning service including fresh sheets. The washer and dryer are available if you would like to do laundry. Just let us know. We provide natural bath soap and natural hand and dish soap. Other things to note We care about our environment and aim to be a chemical free house, for the benefit of the area, the wildlife, and ourselves. We only use natural cleaning products, soaps, sunscreens and other toiletries. We ask that you do the same. Natural products are now available in health and grocery stores and pharmacies almost everywhere. If you can't get them where you're from, they are readily available here. In the same spirit, we do not use chemical insecticides. We live right at the edge of a tropical rainforest and it is very likely that you will see the monkeys, sloths toucans and other animals that live there right outside your window and some of the many insects that live there both outside and inside. We keep the apartment very clean and use some natural repellents but in deciding to live in their world, we have to accept that they will occasionally visit.
