Only 10-15% of the people with STR’s, i.e. Airbnb's are licensed with the City; that is a chance 90 are not legit, and in risk of being shut down and you not having your reservations when you show up. We even had Guest who Owns a Parkour studio, and was teaching the kids in the neighborhood the tricks. You can book for a 5 nights through instant booking. The PRIVATE sea themed bathroom includes: 2 Jack/Jill sinks with overhead bright lighting, you are given 3 large drawer. The shower/tub is incredible!: stainless steel rainfall waterfall shower panel, tower rain massage system, 4 adjustable massage jets, hydroelectricity temperature display, hand shower nozzle, plus a tub spout into a cast iron tub. The toilet has a bidet upon it as well. In the bathroom, we will supply fresh bath towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, bubble bath, bath salts. On the sink counters you will find upgraded soaps, lotion, Qtips, facial soap, razor, toothbrush/paste, shaving cream, hair mousse, make up remover too! Within the drawer is a hair dryer,. The bedroom is full of authentic Native American Indian artwork and accessories everywhere you turn. There is a home office downstairs so if you need print outs or something scanned we can assist you with that. It has a great working desk/chair too. 2 nightstands, 2 full hanging closets and one closet with shelves plenty of storage. The bed is incredible double pillow top covers too; perfect when you come back from hiking or skiing. We just added an electric fireplace heater - perfect for the winter season. During the spring/summer you have a brand new ceiling fan. Something for everyone's temperature. It is only 3 steps from the bedroom to your private incredible & fun bathroom. There is also a water softener, great for those with dry skin. The bedroom is on the top floor, which has the laundry room, your private bathroom, and 3 other private personal bedrooms which we/the Owners occupy. You are able to use the kitchen, the oven, the stove, and put your items in the fridge. We also share for Free our spices, sauces, condiments, salad dressings etc. However, if you use any of these free items, they must be left on the counter, so we can sanitize them before putting them back away. Also the same for the fridge/microwave etc, sanitizer first. Safety for all, at all times. We have an incredible gym too: rowing machine, bike, elliptical, yoga mats, with 4 comfy bean bags to watch TV. Next to those are a foosball table & air hockey, fun for all. The gym is in the main social area in the basement. It has a 75" brand new smart tv with free Netflix, Hulu, internet. All those using the gym, before they start their workout must sign the waiver of liability on the desk top, and use hand sanitizer. The hours for the gym, out of respect for those sleeping is 7am to 9pm. If you are sensitive to scents, please let me know well in advance. As I do wash the sheets, comforter, and towels with a light scent along with a scented dryer sheet. Then after all that I also Fe-breeze the bed. 99.9% LOVE it. I also have an automatic Glade spray in the bathroom. We want to make sure that your stay is comfortable, and if you want scent free, let me know in advance and I am happy to accommodate and will not Febreze the bed and can remove the Glade from the bathroom. There is a laundry facility, our fun Dia De La Morte themed room, right off your private bedroom/bathroom. We offer free laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and even have lingerie bags! The hours for using the room is 7am to 10pm. If you have a child this place is for them, any age. I give the younger ones (10 and under) a free gift to play with, as it makes them feel comfortable and special and they can take it on the road which makes your drive easier too. . I even put special soaps in the bathroom for the kids too. Who could ask for more? (However, I am not a day care and can't watch the children while you are in meeting or Zoom call.) We call our house "It's a small world" since each room has its' own theme; but it all flows in a Zen type of atmosphere. Many people say the house (and us) has a welcoming and calming effect. We unfortunately can't allow any animals inside the house, regardless of size/cat/dog or in cage. There is a local vet around the corner where you can board them at an inexpensive rate. Please note we have an exemption from Airbnb for service dogs. As my son is highly allergic to dog dander, and it is against our religion to have dogs within the house. We do not allow pets of any kind. Our current check out time is firm 10am, as we always deep clean the room thoroughly, with check in at at 3pm. But I will text you the minute the room is ready. Those who choose to leave after 10am will be subject to a late check out fee starting at $100. (It isn't fair one Guest that won't check out on time, and holds up the room for the next Guest.) Please note if you have a job or circumstances in which you must leave more than 2x during the night, this Airbnb not a good fit for you. There is another Airbnb and family that lives her full time; and we all need our sleep. So please take this into consideration when booking. Carefully read all house rules before booking & make sure all in the reservation have read them before arrival. Those who are local in SLC; the reservation and request will carefully be looked at, and may be subject to cancellation. You will be given an access code for the front door key. You are able to use the laundry facilities (free soap provided) on same floor as the guest room. You are able to use the full gym in the basement; includes bike, rowing machine, elliptical and yoga mats. You must use hand sanitizer before using each and every piece of equipment. The basement has a: Smart TV 75" - yes 75" -with Netflix/Hulu/internet, XBox X, air hockey table & Foosball all which you can use. You may use the back yard, which is close to ¼ of an acre which has incredible views of the mountains. We just installed a brand new patio with gorgeous gazebos, table that sits 6 and 2 sofa/setees and 2 chairs. It also has a BBQ & Smokers you can utilize, along with the tables and chairs. You may use the new main kitchen and cook; as long as you bring your own food etc. (no alcohol). Since the gym is shared space in the house we have the gym hours as 7am to 9pm, as it is right off the bedroom of another Airbnb room. You will encounter our son who loves playing video games. More times more than not we will have a real wood burning fireplace going in the family room. If need be you can plug in your car for the electrical charge (usual residential outlets) with only an additional $20 surcharge per charge. If you need this, please advise before you arrive, so I can make sure the area of the garage for plug in is clear and ready, and I will send a request for the nominal fee. Interaction with Guests: This is our primary residence, so we are on-site and will be here to greet you and show you around. The country kitchen, laundry, dining room, family room, living room, Foyer, and gym are shared; so you will run into us of course. But isn’t that what an Airbnb experience is? If it is winter, we most times more than not will have a real wood burning fireplace going in the family room. We are in one of the safest neighborhoods in SLC. It is an inclusive neighborhood: everyone associates with each other; many kids playing with each other too. We also have a personal programmable safe in the room too. Since you are arriving during the winter/snow make sure to check road conditions. If you need to rent a car, or are driving your own, all cars must have snow tires during the snow/fall/wintertime, new law in UT this year. We were told by Snowbird Resort it can be difficult getting an Uber/Lyft up the mountain at times. The Resort recommends using Canyon transportation. But as each Uber/Lyft driver is different, you may want to try them accordingly. And look into the U.T.A. Park & Ride it is only 2 minutes from our house by car and 20 min walking, 1.2 miles in the Walgreens parking lot at 2090 E 9400 S Sandy; is only $5-6 one way! That specific Park & Ride takes you to Alta & Snowbird. The earliest bus leaves at 7:10am Closest to us is bus F994 and/or 220 which is 3 blocks away .5 miles, at Newcastle & Highland: down the hill from the Presbyterian Church then it would take you to the park & ride of 9400 South & 2000 East Park and Ride which will then take you to the slopes. Sat/Sun Bus #220 runs every 30 minutes first bus run is at 8:24am. And for Mon/Friday the run is every 30 minutes first bus run it is at 6:31am. Also the Holladay Park & Ride at 6200 Wasatch Blvd E, Holladay will take you to Solitude & Brighton. You can always call the Utah Transit Authority; they are very friendly and helpful. Ski shop 2 minutes from us Ski N See Canyon Center, 2113 E 9400 South, Sandy; but you need to make your reservation a day before you pick the skis up. Also, UT Ski Gear, 600 E 9400 S Sandy. I was told sometimes they have skis for purchase the same price as rentals. Also update 11-21: Alta is now charging $25 on the weekend’s half day, to park & they must be purchased online, no permits can be bought on site at their website. There are some electrical stations near us within 10-15 minutes for charging your EV car if you need more than 110V SANDY CITY / CITY HALL DC3 210 Sego Lily Dr, Sandy or 1245 E 9400 S, Sandy, UT 84094 These are general guidelines, and I am only a lodging establishment short term (not a travel agent). Sadly this had to be enacted years ago when one 5 Star Guest was on drugs and the police had to come and open/break down the door. Since then due to safety for our family, and the other Airbnb Guests we had to remove the locks & implement stringent house rules, due to ER situations like this. 99.99% of the Guests have had no issues with this and actually welcome them.
