Description

Now there is the opportunity to stay in a house with striking sunsets, in the middle of nature and an undisturbed location, while making a minimal impact in the climate. Welcome to book our house at a favorable “try-on” price. Our house in the Stockholm archipelago has a unique location, is completely self sufficient on electricity through solar cells, and not connected to the grid. The house is "off grid" and is now 99% complete. All functionality is ready, there are only a few cosmetic flaws left. The space You live on an upper floor without thresholds with outstanding views through large windows that go down to the floor. Large balcony that stretches on three sides of the house. At each end of the house, there are 2 roofed balconies with protection from sun or rain. Next to the balcony is a natural pond in the rock with water lilies and small fish called rudors. The location is completely secluded and therefore curtains are not needed as protection for privacy, nature is part of the accommodation. You wake up to the sun in the east, and fall asleep with the sun in the west. The bedrooms have large windows in two weather decks and are the only rooms with curtains (note, view into the upper bathroom from your own balcony). On the lower floor, there is another bedroom and a guest toilet with shower. There is also a washing machine and freezer that can be used by agreement with us. In a separate space on the lower floor is the boiler room with a wood stove for the waterborne floor heating and the batteries that store the electricity from the solar panels. The nature around the house is forest so boots or sturdy shoes are good for walks. There's a neighbor a little bit away, but you can hardly see their house. Sea eagles, moose, foxes and deer, however, you have a great chance to see from the house, especially at dusk. With binoculars, you can sometimes see seals on a rock out in the water. Often you can hear them singing on a quiet evening. Guest access 125 m2 living area, divided into two floors, 15 m2 bathroom, 2 x 15 m2 bedrooms and the rest is kitchen, living room and dining area. Through a staircase indoors, you come to the lower floor where there is a guest room, with a 140 cm wide bed. Guest toilet: The stairs down to the downstairs currently have no handrail. Downstairs, there is a boiler room and technical spaces for batteries. There is also a washing machine that can be booked by agreement with the host, as well as a freezer. In addition to the house, there is the possibility of the warm season to accommodate extra guests in a house on wheels, a "tiny house" that is close by the house. It is fully equipped with toilet, shower, fridge and stove, table and chairs, and a loft. This will only be available to those who have booked, so you don't have to share the place with others. It is possible to travel around the municipality all year round by bus, and by boat in spring, summer and fall. From the bus stop, it is 800 meters to walk, and from the boat dock about 2 kilometers. For cars and campers, there are good parking facilities. Cars can be driven all the way up to the balcony for those with limited mobility. The forest around the house is untouched virgin forest and here no machines have logged and no forest planting has been done. There are plenty of mushrooms and berries and fishing with fishing rods is free. Below the house, there are several seating areas that you can reach through winding paths. Some with high elevation, one directly on the cliffs by the beach. . Other things to note The house is a so-called "off-grid" house, which means it is not connected to the regular electricity grid. As a guest, you will not notice any difference, except for the knowledge that you are making minimal environmental impact when you choose this accommodation. The house has several solar cells and a small wind turbine as well as great opportunity to store electricity batteries. The electricity in the house is the same as in "normal" houses, so just use the outlets. Fridge, dishwasher, microwave, etc. work as usual. The stove runs on gas (the oven runs on electricity) and there is also a wood stove for comfort and extra heat if needed. During the dark season, you can charge the batteries from one of our electric cars, or via an electric generator. Lighting can be controlled with regular buttons, or via a screen to the right of the refrigerator. Most of the interior and furniture are recycled from the local area to protect the environment. The walls inside are painted with lime paint, where we mixed water with ordinary lime that has been left over in the manufacturing industry. The boards inside are sawn from trees that have fallen in the forest around here, or that we needed to cut down to get to the house. There is a neighbor a bit away, and you can glimpse their house between the trees. In the living room, there is a TV screen but no TV channels. There is a Chromecast, but no technical support for technical problems
