Car-Free Zone: To maintain the serenity and natural beauty of Sunken Escapes, we encourage a car-free environment. You will be provided with a large wagon to transport your belongings to your tent or cabin from our private parking lot. Accessible Parking: If you have a handicap permit, you can drive directly to and park at our Accessible Serenity Cabin, which is designed for easy access. Accommodations: Tents: Access your spacious tunnel tent via a short, scenic walk through the property. Each tent features a private entrance, ensuring your privacy and comfort. Cabins: Our cozy cabins are nestled among the trees, providing a secluded and intimate atmosphere. A short walk will take you to your cabin, where you can relax and unwind. Shared Facilities: Common Bathroom: Guests staying in cabins #7-10 have access to a shared, campground-style bathroom. This facility includes individual showers and toilets with locks for your convenience and privacy. Private Facilities: Guests in our tunnel tents and the Accessible Serenity Cabin enjoy private bathrooms with all necessary amenities. Car-Free Zone: To maintain the peaceful atmosphere, vehicles are not permitted beyond the parking area. Large wagons are provided for transporting belongings to accommodations. Accessibility Accessible Accommodations: Our Accessible Serenity Cabin is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a wheelchair-accessible ramp and designated parking for guests with a handicap permit. Amenities Wi-Fi: Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property for staying connected. Common Bathroom: Cabins have access to a shared campground-style bathroom facility with individual showers and toilets. Local Information Nearby Attractions: Explore Wolfville’s unique shops and restaurants, just a 15-minute drive away, or find all amenities in New Minas, also a short 15-minute drive. Weather and Seasonal Considerations: Nova Scotia experiences varying weather conditions throughout the year. Be prepared for seasonal changes during your stay. Policies Smoking: Sunken Escapes is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not permitted in any accommodations or common areas. Pets: Pets are not allowed on the property to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. Deposit: This property has compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $250 USD (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $27 USD for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 USD per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
