Home in Hood River
Description
Our property is our haven, and hopefully yours as well. Our cozy little nook is close to the city but not in it, only 8 minutes from downtown shopping and restaurants but also near all of Hood River's wineries and trails. The space Why not skip the slamming hotel doors, packed parking lots, highway noise, and passing trains that often come with staying in town? Instead, enjoy a scenic drive through the rural west side of Hood River as you make your way to us. As you drive down our street you will see rural properties, many trees, and on a clear day, Mt Adams peaking over the trees behind our home. The road ends at our home. Your lodging is a spacious studio with windows on three sides, located on the ground floor (not a basement) of a modern two-story house. You’ll have your own private entrance and private bathroom—no need to walk through anyone else’s living space. The open plan studio includes a queen size bed, couch, a dining table with two chairs, a wet bar with a mini-fridge, and other thoughtful amenities. The ceiling above you is insulated with double layers of drywall and professional-grade soundproofing materials, all designed to give you a quiet and relaxing environment. Many of our guests have shared how much they appreciate the peace and quiet during their stay. That said, this is our home, and we do live upstairs. You may hear normal household activity, especially during the day or on weekdays. We also have neighbors, so you might occasionally hear lawn mowing, a barking dog, or nearby construction. We’re surrounded by trees, and you’ll likely hear birds singing and perhaps a rooster in the morning. Honestly, we think it adds to the charm. A few more details: In cooler months, the studio is heated with radiant floor heating—no cold spots anywhere. Your feet will love it! Guests often say it’s “so cozy” and “just right.” Beyond comfort, radiant heat is also healthier than forced-air heating, and we hope you enjoy this feature as much as we do. What sets us apart from other Airbnb's in Hood River? We're located on a quiet dead-end street with almost no traffic—this is not a multi-unit Airbnb or a hotel. The cozy studio we offer is part of a well-insulated, newer construction home with heated floors and plenty of natural light. Guest access You may enter through your private entrance directly into the studio. Please note: We do not yet offer an outdoor seating area, and we cannot change our location. If you will not be 100% happy with both of those details, please consider other lodging options. Other things to note Early check-in is available for $25. The outdoor property and guest areas are completely smoke- and vape-free. With advance notice, we can provide a simple twin-size bed for a third guest for an additional $35. We're in an ideal location for wedding guests—just 5 to 10 minutes from most wedding venues in the Hood River area. We’re bike-friendly! With advance notice—preferably when booking—we can accommodate more than one vehicle. Need extra security? We offer a gated courtyard where valuable equipment or vehicles can be safely parked. Just let us know if you'd like to use this option. We provide both 50-amp and 30-amp electrical service for parked RVs or electric vehicle (EV) charging. Bring your Tesla or other EV and enjoy a safe, convenient charging location. A small additional fee applies, and an adapter is required to connect to our standard RV outlets. Finally: Please consider these points: We have been given less than 5 stars in the past for having no "outdoor space", or for our location. These are not fair ratings. We don't advertise that we have a designatated outdoor area. Please simply choose another airbnb that offers what you are looking for rather than downrate us for a something we don't offer. In regard to our location: You can see our location ahead of time. If you are less than happy with it, please choose another stay rather than down-rate us for something we cannot change.
