Villa Virta is a destination with space for a large group. The Rajajoki river flows right in the backyard, the location is also a fisherman's dream. Muonio has all the basic services for a comfortable holiday. The space Villa Virta is a two-storey bright and cozy log house. Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with a fireplace, TV, and access to the river-side terrace. A barrier-free toilet, a sauna area with an electric sauna for four people with a view of the lake, a bathroom with two showers, and a dressing room with an exit are also located downstairs. In addition, downstairs there is a large utility room with a washing machine, dryer and ironing, as well as an exit. Downstairs there is one accessible bedroom with two separate beds. On the second floor there is a living area/library, a workspace with desks, an exit to the balcony with a view, a toilet, and three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two separate beds. The courtyard of the house has a log-built 4-person beach sauna with a wood-heated stove and a large terrace, a bath tub for 6 people, as well as a living and dressing area with a fireplace, a dining table and a sofa bed for six. In the yard area, there is a small glass gazebooth on the riverbank, with a double bed and a glass roof, as well as a terrace to the river. The cottage is freely available for guests to relax, meditate and watch the northern lights, but it is unheated in winter. Next to the glass house, there is a composting outdoor toilet. From the yard, there is direct access to the shore of the Muonio River, a rapid flows by the house and Sweden can be seen on the opposite side of the river. On the Swedish side, you can easily visit without customs formalities by walking 400m, the national border is in the middle of the bridge crossing the Muonio River. From the border bridge you can watch the foaming rapids, upstream you can see the village of Muonio and the church. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, the yard, and the riverbank by the house. The beach sauna building is free to use, but the heating of the sauna and the hot tub is agreed separately. The glass-roofed gazebo with beds is also freely available to the guest.
