Welcome to Owen's Place, your home from home. The space ABOUT THE AREA & YOUR BEDROOM Welcome to Poets Corner. You'll be staying in the master bedroom of a modernized Victorian terrace just around the corner from Northampton's Racecourse park/sports courts and near the tranquility of both Abington Park and Bradlaugh Fields nature reserve, each just up the road. This peaceful neighbourhood enjoys a real sense of community spirit and a diverse range of pubs, cafes, restaurants, takeaways & supermarkets also just around the corner where the local bus stop offers frequent services to & from town for when walking is undesired. Enjoy a cosy night's sleep in the master bedroom's kingsize bed. The sleeping area has its own power point and optional ambient lighting from the cordless touch-control nightlights situated on the bedside chests-of-drawers to each side of the bed. Relax at your pleasure with the large-screen TV which offers a wide range of movie & TV channels included with Amazon Prime or create a productive evening using the in-room worktable which has its own power point, cushioned chair, plug-in lamp and can be extended to twice its size for those who like to spread out whist working. Your secure, lockable & centrally-heated bedroom has a built-in closet complete with hangers and a separate condiments table with its own power point, plug-in lamp and coffee/tea-making facilities complete with under-table bin. You will find both hand towels and big beach towels freshly prepared for you, waiting at the foot of your bed upon your initial arrival. Guest access ABOUT THE BATHROOM & KITCHEN The shared bathroom is located on the same floor as your bedroom and its lock includes a vacant/engaged indicator. There is a toilet, washbasin and power shower above the bath. Personal space in the bathroom cabinet has also been set aside for you. An optional non-slip bathmat is available, stored behind the washbasin. A downstairs toilet is accessible should the bathroom be engaged at an inopportune time. It is located adjacent to the kitchen. You are welcome to share the kitchen. It is located on the ground floor and the large breakfast bar comfortably seats 5 people. The electric oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle & rice cooker are available for use as are the pots, pans & cutlery. Please place used utensils in the built-in dishwasher after use and ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe & hygienic. Space in both the fridge & freezer have been set aside for you and a range of cereals are available for you too. During your stay I value my guests' privacy and work to provide a serene & stress-free experience during each stay. I am, however open for a good chat or even to share a movie together in the living room on occasion should the opportunity arise. Enjoy your stay and if there's anything I can do to make your stay even better please don't hesitate to ask. Just knock on the living room door, find me in the kitchen or message me through Airbnb and I'll help in any way I can. Other things to note You will be given a front door key along with your bedroom key upon arrival ( or set aside in the keysafe for you in the rare occasions I'm unable to greet you in person ). Please ensure you lock the front door each time you come & go as it is not self-locking. Also please don't forget to return these keys at the end of your stay either directly to me or by posting them back through the letterbox. While smoking in the house is not permitted please feel free to have a puff on the patio in the back garden. An ashtray has been set aside for you, located on the step just inside the back door porch. As with the front door please ensure the back door remains locked with the key that lives permanently in the back door lock. Laundry facilities may be made available upon request for short stays. Guests staying for long periods are welcome to share the washing-machine and tumble-dryer as & when required.
