Built on the very spot where the original Ewing farmhouse once stood, this cozy cabin offers a quiet escape steeped in history and surrounded by 191 acres of rolling West Virginia countryside. A gentle creek flows through the backyard, creating a soothing soundtrack for your mornings and a magical backdrop for evening stargazing. On either side of the property, dense woods provide privacy and a sense of seclusion, while open grazing fields nearby often play host to passing wildlife—deer, rabbits, and wild turkeys are frequent visitors. Lanterns hanging across the porch are original gas fixtures from the old farmhouse, likely built in the late 1800s. They echo stories from generations past. The Ewing family has called this land home since 1933, and their legacy lives on in every detail—from the handcrafted woodwork to the original outhouse now resting quietly by the creek. Inside, the cabin features warm wood interiors, thoughtful touches, and all the essentials for a relaxing stay. Whether you're curled up with a book, sipping coffee on the porch, or exploring the natural beauty just outside your door, this is a place to slow down and reconnect. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or small families looking to unwind, unplug, and enjoy the simple pleasures of cabin life. Guest access -Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire yard, providing ample space for kids to run around and play. -There is a delightful tiny house specifically designed for children to explore and enjoy. -Please note that the barn and garage are off-limits to guests. -Parking is provided within the premises. One spot is available on the right side of the driveway close to the main entrance and more spaces are available in front of the garage - 1st and 3rd stall. Please do not block the middle stall. -Farm tour can be arranged as long as the weather permits and for an extra cost. Other things to note Please note that pets and smoking are not allowed at this property. We strive to maintain a clean and allergy-friendly space for all our guests.
