Public lake access is within walking distance, located just down the road. Please note that the walk is along a busy roadway, so caution is advised. The house is located on a wooded lot with a spacious yard that includes a fire pit and a basketball hoop! There are 2 decks. The first deck is in the front of the house and the second is off the back of the house where you will find a gas grill for cooking out. Both decks offer a private wooded setting where you can feel at one with nature. There is a full bathroom on the main level and a 1/2 bath upstairs. This vacation rental features a spacious living room that opens to the kitchen and dining areas! A short walk has you on a beautiful stretch of pristine beach along the clear water of the Big Lake. Our favorite activity is to pack up and spend the day at the beach, enjoying the sunshine and water. The sunsets are spectacular as well. When we've had enough of the beach, and really that never happens ;), we have a hard time deciding whether to go North or South. To the South of us, there is Silver Lake and the sand dunes. Craig's Cruisers is always a good time, and The Frickin' Chicken has really good food. To the North is Pentwater. We love strolling through the many shops and have not found a bad restaurant yet. Our favorites are The Brown Bear and The Antler Bar. When we are not in the mood to explore we love relaxing on the deck with a cold beverage. Every night is spent around the campfire underneath a glowing canopy of stars. We do hope you enjoy this place as much as we do." Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail which will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression.
