Upta Camp
Upta Camp
Description
Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Take a hike down one of the trails out back, or swim in the cool clear water of the spring fed pond off the back porch. Cozy up during a storm by the fire with a good book, or wet a line on a clear morning off the back steps and catch supper! It’s all in one comfy cabin property to get away from it all. Only a few miles to Dover-Foxcroft, or Sebec Lake. Far enough away to get away, but close enough to the amenities and sights. The space The trails lead directly to the ITS Trail system and the Bud Leavitt Wildlife Management Area. The pond is full of native brook trout and crawfish, it’s both, spring and stream fed, so it’s cool and clear. Guest access Make yourself at home! There is a canoe, peddle boat, and mosquito net pop-up tent to enjoy the pond more freely. The charcoal grill is available to use. There are a couple fishing poles you are welcome to utilize, and in town you can get bait or lures. I only ask that you not use the antique fly rod on the loft beam. Though it’s not necessary for a great getaway, there is Hi speed internet connection and cellular booster. Other things to note There’s a queen bed in the main bedroom on the first floor, and three twin beds in the loft (one is a trundle bed, under the north bed). The wood stove is available, only if you are comfortable with lighting and maintaining the fire safely and effectively. Otherwise, please use the baseboard heat. The "Comfort Zone" keeps the place easily in the 70's on even the coldest nights, so please don't turn it past that.
