A private 100-year-old renovated townhouse “yoinn,” the perfect base for exploring Nara, Koyasan, and Yoshino. ・1.5 hours from Osaka ・1 hour to the UNESCO World Heritage site Koyasan ・30 minutes to Yoshino, famous for cherry blossoms and a hidden gem for autumn. This fully renovated centennial house blends the charm of a traditional kominka with modern comfort. Stay in Gojo, where you can feel the history of a 400-year-old Edo-period street, untouched by mass tourism. The space 【Entire House (approx. 124㎡)】 Fully renovated in 2023, this 100-year-old traditional house blends historic charm with a clean, modern Japanese design. Accommodates up to 10 guests. ▸ Living Room A cozy space with a low sofa and dining table. Gather around the wood stove and enjoy warm moments together. ▸ Japanese-Style Rooms (2 bedrooms) Two tatami rooms with futon bedding provided according to group size (up to 8 guests). With the living room’s low sofa, up to 2 additional guests can stay (max. 10 guests). ▸ Kitchen Equipped with a single IH stove and two portable gas stoves. Includes refrigerator/freezer, oven range, microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle, coffee dripper, cutlery, full set of cookware, and basic seasonings. ▸ Bathroom & Washroom Unit bath and washbasin. Amenities include hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrushes, bath towels, and face towels. Guest access Only the first floor and garden are available. The second floor is not accessible. Other things to note ■ Capacity ■ Up to 10 guests (8 in Japanese-style rooms + 2 with the living room’s low sofa). Best suited for 6–8 guests. ■ Check-in / Check-out ■ We personally greet guests at check-in and check-out. Please inform us of your arrival time when booking. - Check-in: 16:00–19:00 - Check-out: 8:00–11:00 For self check-in, we will provide the code in advance. ■ Dinner Option ■ Dinner course: ¥7,000 per person “Gojo Seasonal Course 🍽” An 8-course menu starting with kakinoha-zushi (local persimmon leaf sushi), handmade in-house. Seasonal vegetables, premium Yamato beef dishes, and a seasonal clay pot rice finish the meal. Served with either a fresh fruit cocktail or a glass of local sake. Made mainly with local ingredients. ■ Wood Stove ■ To make your winter stay more comfortable, the wood stove is used as the primary heater. JPY 3,000 per night (includes wood for one evening) / Extra wood available on-site (JPY 1,000 per bundle). Payment is in cash on the day; our staff will light the stove upon your arrival. Optional in October; generally required from November to March. Please enjoy the aroma of wood, the sound of the flames, and a deep, soothing warmth. ■ Garden Use ■ The garden behind the house can be used for bonfires and BBQ. ・Covered area available (usable even on rainy days) ・All equipment provided free of charge (bring your own firewood, charcoal, food) ・Please wash equipment after use ※Not available between 21:00–6:00. ■ Smoking ■ No smoking indoors. Smoking allowed only in the garden.
