Wood burning stove and back up propane heaters. Sleeping loft with queen bed. One twin bed downstairs in open floor plan. There is a sofa and an inflatable mattress, as well, if needed in the living room. Cozy kitchen table. Large front porch with rocking chairs. Quiet and private surroundings. Winter long range mountain views. Great for couples with older children. Probably not as safe for infants and toddlers due to steep ladder and woodstove. No way to baby gate these areas. Accessible by dirt road and dirt driveway. (Four wheel drive not necessary, but front wheel drive suggested.) Driveway parks two cars. Very quiet location in the country. Good walks around neighborhood. Horse farms surround the property. Right down the hill is Hickory Nut Gap Farm--store with organic meat, honey, and homemade crafts and great lunches. Down the road is Flying Cloud Farm--all organic seasonable veggies and flowers. Terrific restaurants and breweries close by in Fairview. I enjoy meeting my guests when they arrive. I show them all the safety features in the cabin, how to work heat sources and air conditioning, and where all the kitchenwares are. My husband and/or I am available during my guest's visit by text or call. Natural beauty adorns area around cabin. Beautiful horse farms and pastures. Sparsely traveled, country roads to walk or run. Uber and Lyft have serviced visitors. Owners and neighbors live relatively close by, thus respect of privacy and quiet appreciated. Steep ladder to upstairs loft. NOT safe for children. Get off the grid for a while--no TV, WiFi, or internet! Enjoy the quiet cabin, surroundings, and each other. Cell phone coverage is good.
