Rivertide Retreat

Peaceful and centrally-located to the Catskill Mountains and Hudson River, as well as to a number of sweet walkable villages. Or stay in and relax in this light-drenched apartment, enjoy dinner on the wraparound deck overlooking the forest. There is 1 queen bed, 1 queen air mattress and 1 sofa bed. Our space is wheelchair accessible, with 36 inch doorways and step-free access to the apartment, bathroom, both bedrooms and wraparound deck. Rivertide is queer-owned and LGBTQIA+ welcoming. The space Recently built as an addition to Rivertide Center, the apartment is brand new, including a full kitchen with dishwasher and induction stove, a lounge/dining area, full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a huge wraparound deck overlooking the forest, lawns and gardens. Step off the deck to enjoy our firepit and magical sugar maple swing. The property and the addition have been designed for privacy and solitude, even though it is easily accessible and close to main roads. Spectacular in every season, our area offers opportunities for all kinds of outdoor exploration including hiking, paddling, mountain biking, climbing, snowshoeing and skiing. A number of nearby villages offer sweet walkable main streets where you can shop, explore local restaurants, as well as check out our vibrant arts and music communities. In summer through fall you have your pick of local farmers markets, farms and even roadside honor-system farmstands. We are located on the land of the displaced Mohican Nation Stockbridge–Munsee Band. We keep ecological sustainability in mind with solar panels providing our electricity, energy-efficient heating and cooling, and native and pollinator-friendly plantings. We have outdoor outlets by the parking area for easy charging of electric vehicles. Guest access The apartment is at the rear of the building, accessed by a well-lit path and ramp that leads directly from the parking area to the side door entrance from our wraparound deck. The key is in a lockbox, the combination of which you will be given upon registration. You have full access to the apartment and the property. You may hear the sounds of Saturday morning classes behind the pocket doors that separate the two areas of the building. Feel free to inquire about our yoga, martial arts or fitness classes or about offerings from our wellness practitioners. Because Rivertide is used as a Wellness Center from Monday Through Friday, check in is no earlier than 5pm. Check out on Sunday is 11am. Other things to note If you are looking to use the modular couch as a third (full-size) bed, please let me know ahead of time so that i can set up the space for you and make up the bed. The regular queen bed has a firm mattress; the queen air bed is a bit softer and also adjustable in its firmness; the modular couch bed is medium-soft but still with decent support. While the location is relatively quiet, we do have neighbors from which you may hear dogs, a rooster, or kids playing on dirtbikes from the other side of the treeline.
