Lazy Acres Cottage

Lazy Acres is all about the view, overlooking Frenchman's Bay 30 ft. away, located, 45 minutes from Mount Desert Island & 30 minutes from Schoodic Peninsula, homes of Acadia National Park. The setting is quiet & peaceful, nestled in a small residential neighborhood, ideal for walks & bike rides. If you are looking for fancy, look elsewhere. Our camp/cottage is a whimsical, eclectic, and cozy work in progress. It is the perfect place to relax or a home base to explore the wonders of Downeast ME The space The downstairs is an open floor plan, with kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom with shower stall, and sleeping space that is separated by curtains. A covered porch flanks the ocean side of the camp, providing a peaceful place to read a book and enjoy the view. The upstairs consists of two bedrooms, with curtain doors and a half bath with a conventional door. We have child gates for safety of children and pets. Children are welcome and certainly many have enjoyed it, but it should be noted the stairs are steep and oceanside of the cottage is a steep bank with retaining wall at the bottom. There is plenty of play area away from the bank. Lazy Acres has hosted many family reunions, and other such small events and would consider hosting yours for an additional fee. Guest access A village store is 3 miles away with gas and groceries. Ellsworth is 15 miles away for shopping and laundry. Other things to note The cottage has WIFI, with smart TV. No cable
