The Coop

"The Coop" is a cosy, self-contained studio with stunning views of Montserrat, surrounded by nature. This is a haven for walkers, climbers and nature lovers as well as artists, writers and other creators seeking peace and tranquility. Only an hour from Barcelona, "The Coop" is on our property, where we live with our 2 dogs, 2 cats and laying hens. We share the mountain with insects, wild boar, deer and a wide variety of plants. The property is fenced all around. The space "The Coop" is a rustic, unique and cosy space from which you can see the mountain in all its glory at all hours. It is comprised of a double bedroom, a functional shower room/toilet and a small, basic kitchenette with table/desk space. All rooms give onto the mountain. "The Coop" is accessible through our property. You will have complete privacy but, as we work from home, we are usually around to help with anything guests might need, including emergency food supplies or recommendations for hikes, local restaurants etc. Our friendly dogs and cats may also come and visit from time to time! Guest access Our property is a 15 minute drive from shops and services and our village is a 30 minute walk away where you will find a cafe with basic food items for sale (when open). We are surrounded by beautiful nature, walks and climbing/hiking trails. To access The Coop you enter through the main gate of our property, walk past our house and find the studio tucked in a sweet corner of the garden. The studio has a front garden with amazing views. Guests enjoy above all our beautiful unique rustic situation on the hillside. The path outside, trodden down by years of well-fed hens, can be uneven in places and care should be exercised with small children and anyone with impaired mobility. Other things to note - There is a taxi service from the nearest station, Castelbell I El Vilar or Sant Vicenc de Castellet. We will provide the number in the event that you choose to come by train. - All toilet paper and hygenic waste goes in the bathroom bin. - Dogs and cats may visit. Do not let them into The Coop, however nicely they look at you! - Do not hesitate to ask if you need anything. - Please read the property description carefully before booking. - We really appreciate if you can take left-over food items and rubbish with you when you leave.
