Located in Canaan Valley just outside of Davis, our cabin is the perfect place to enjoy the mountains, rivers, and scenic beauty of the area. Near Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley State Park, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, and Spruce Knob for outdoor recreation in all seasons. Enjoy skiing, snow tubing, hiking, biking, fishing, birding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, climbing, caving, and more! Visit Davis or Thomas for good eats, small-town charm, local brews (coffee and beer!), art and live music. The space Our small, cozy cabin is a great place to relax and enjoy the mountains of WV! It is the perfect size for a family with young children, or a couple, as it has a single bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. ***Please note that this is not a cabin deep in the woods, and is located in a community of cabins*** Our cabin is located on a grass open space with other small cabins. Most of our guests don't mind the location, but please message us if you have questions or concerns prior to booking. The cabin includes: a kitchen/dining room with all cookware and dishes; living room with fireplace (and firewood), flatscreen TV, DVD player, and HDMI access (feel free to bring your streaming device!); large bathroom with a double jacuzzi tub; washer and dryer; master bedroom with a queen bed; and a loft accessible by a spiral stair (note the spiral stair is narrow and those with mobility issues may have difficulty accessing) with two sets of bunk beds (4 twin beds), flatscreen TV and DVD player. The community includes an outdoor stocked catch-and-release fishing pond, playground, grass volleyball court, walking trails, and fire pit. Although summers tend to be cool in the Valley, we have a portable air conditioner that cools the living/kitchen/dining area. The loft is open to the living room below, and has a ceiling fan for comfort. Portable fans are provided for additional comfort in the bedroom and loft. Baseboard heating is used in the cooler months. Please note that we do have an outdoor grill and picnic table on our small deck. **The cabin has an updated loft and bedroom with fresh paint and new carpet, as well as, brand-new mattresses and updated linens and pillows. Guest access You'll have full-access to our cabin (excluding the mechanical area). Other things to note 1. CELL PHONE service in the valley can be spotty and some carriers have better services than others. There are areas in WV where you might not have cell phone service at all, including at our cabin. 2. CABIN WIFI is slower than most people are used to. We can typically stream video on one or two devices. Occasionally, there are internet outages. Do not plan your stay under the assumption that internet service is guaranteed. 3. We operate as an independent rental in a resort community. Understand that other guests in the community may be owners, or renters through other rental agencies. Everyone has a different standard for check-in, trash collection, etc. Guests are to follow guidelines related to the cabin as distributed by us ONLY. Guests will follow guidelines for community spaces (fire pits, putt-putt, playground, etc) as dictated by the community regulations.
