Description

Enjoy the peaceful nature of Falster Island with bike trails, hiking trails, forests, and the wild seaside of Denmark. Located in vejringe but close to Stubbekøbing, with restaurants, museums and a quaint harbor area with a historic ferry to Bogø. The Cozy Cottage is located only 8 km from the E45 which takes you North to Copenhagen (1 hour 25 mins) or South towards the ferry to Germany (1 hr). NOTE: Price is exclusive electrical consumption, which is DKR 3.00 pr KwH. charged after. The space The Cozy Cottage was built in 1870 and gently restored over the years to include a modern and upscale interior and tasteful decor. Relax with all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, while enjoying the historic charm of exposed beams and brick floors. With two large beds in two private upstairs bedrooms, the cottage sleeps 4 comfortably, and it also has a full bathroom on the main level and a newly installed toilet upstairs. Relax in the private garden, have a bonfire in the yard, or walk to the nearby beach (2.3 km away). There is a bus stop 100 meters away that can take you to Nykøbing train station or into Stubbekøbing center. Electrical heaters and a central heating pump keep the house warm in the winter, and it has a wood burning stove for extra coziness on a chilly night (surcharge applies for firewood consumed). This cottage is a peaceful retreat enjoyed by the owners and lovingly shared with our guests. We hope that you will enjoy and respect this historic and charming property as much as we do. There are many sights and activities to be found on Falster island. Some of the more popular are the Knuthenborg Safari Park (closed Oct-March), the Crockodile Zoo, the charming Hasnæs Havn, Marielyst Beach and Kim Rabek’s famous seaside restaurant, Pomle Nakke (advanced reservations recommended). Due to changing weather conditions and use of EV vehicles, the rent excludes electrical consumption. The owners keep track of electricity usage via remote monitoring and guests will be charge 3 DKR per KWh after their stay. Owners will send a request via Airbnb 2 days after departure with documentation of daily consumption and a request for payment. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and grounds with the exception of one room on the main floor just inside the entrance. There is covered parking on the property and street parking out in front. Other things to note wood for the fireplace are not included, there are many places locally that offer firewood, please make sure you only use very dry wood and if you use the fireplace, please ensure you clean it and take out any ashes and leave it out in the outdoor bonfire place in the back yard
