Welcome to Joiku-Midnight Sun, a bright, inviting home in Joiku Resort, completed in 2024 in Äkäslompolo. With clean design, high ceilings, and expansive glass walls, it brings Lapland’s beauty indoors. Set near the iconic Ylläs Swing & Äkäslompolo Lake, it’s a great place to take in the surrounding landscape. In winter, ski trails pass right by, & Ylläs Ski Resort is just minutes away. The terrace is ideal in warmer months. Shops, cafés, rental services & dining are an easy walk from the door. The space Finished in late 2024, Joiku - Midnight Sun combines clean lines and warm details, using dark wood, limestone-inspired ceramics, and carefully chosen furnishings to create a relaxed setting for time together. The ground floor features an open-plan living area where floor-to-ceiling windows bring in daylight and views of the surrounding trees. A contemporary kitchen includes plenty of storage, a hidden breakfast cupboard, a high-quality induction hob, and a fully automatic coffee machine with a bean grinder. The space flows naturally into the dining area and lounge, centred around a cosy fireplace. From here, step out onto the terrace to enjoy the fresh air or cool off after a sauna session. In winter, ski trails pass by just beyond the resort, offering easy access to Finland’s longest cross-country network, while in summer, hiking and biking trails start nearby. The three bedrooms each feature high-quality beds dressed in professionally laundered linens. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, while the other two bedrooms offer double beds. A separate alcove with a sliding door downstairs creates extra sleeping space or a quiet spot to read or work. The bathroom includes a spacious shower and a private sauna, perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Underfloor heating keeps the space warm throughout the seasons, and a washing machine, drying cabinet, and heated storage area make it easy to keep gear organised and ready. In summer and autumn, hiking and biking routes begin close by, and the lakeshore offers opportunities for paddling and fishing. Bus connections from Kittilä Airport and Kolari station make arrival easy, whether visiting with family, friends, or colleagues.
