This atmospheric detached log villa is surrounded by pine forest and offers beautiful views toward Lake Ukonlampi. Located in a peaceful natural setting between Kuusamo town and Ruka Ski Resort, the villa provides a calm retreat away from crowds, while still being within easy reach of services, activities, and outdoor adventures. The villa comfortably accommodates guests in three bedrooms: Bedroom 1: double bed 180 × 210 cm (can be separated into two 90 × 210 cm beds) Bedroom 2: double bed 180 × 200 cm (can be separated into two 90 × 200 cm beds) Bedroom 3: two single beds 90 × 200 cm In addition, the open loft offers sleeping space for up to three guests, making the villa ideal for families or groups of friends. The heart of the villa is the spacious living area, where large windows bring nature inside. Relax by the cozy open fireplace after a day outdoors, or gather around the dining table. The fully equipped kitchen includes tableware for up to 12 guests, making shared meals easy and enjoyable. For added comfort, the villa has two separate toilets. The sauna experience is a highlight. The electric sauna features wide benches and a separate dressing room. From here, you can step directly onto a covered cooling-off terrace with calming views over the lake landscape—perfect after a relaxing sauna session. A warm and spacious equipment storage room at the entrance provides practical space for skis, and outdoor gear. For winter sports enthusiasts, Villa Poronperä is an excellent choice. Ruka Ski Resort is 15 km away, snowmobile trails are just 800 meters from the villa, and in mid-winter you can ski directly from the villa to Kuusamo’s extensive cross-country skiing network via a connecting trail. There is also a great sledding hill right next to the villa. Outdoor activities continue year-round. A 4 km ski trail nearby connects to the wider Kuusamo–Ruka trail network (open from early spring winter). The surrounding nature offers excellent opportunities for hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and berry picking. About 1 km away, you’ll find a traditional forest lean-to shelter with a fireplace by a clear stream—an ideal spot for grilling sausages and enjoying the silence of nature. From the nearby pier, you can also swim in the clear waters of the Petäjäjoki River. The shoreline is about 150 meters from the villa, and a rowing boat is available for guests. Please note that the closest suitable swimming spot is approximately 1 km away. Entertainment and modern comforts are well taken care of. The villa features a 65” smart TV in the living room, a 43” TV in one bedroom, Wi-Fi, and a Bluetooth speaker. Families traveling with children are thoughtfully supported with sleds, a high chair, and a potty.
